- This year the Chile event became a 5 star event, meaning we - the competitors - get 100% of the points earned toward the world title campaign. Getting there from Maui was a long journey but it was well worth it! We scored some epic conditions on a raw coastline full of spots where the emerald waves get shaped by the changes of the sand bars and the impactful tides.
The event was incredibly well organized and I felt so prepared and confident. But the tough and beautiful thing about competition is that there is always something to learn and progress to be made...

Haha! Yes, I’m on a mission to normalize plane and airport stretching, we should never feel shy about it!
@@sarahnc6 being a pilot I’m always looking for new stretches on breaks or while sitting to keep the blood flowing and staying alert but it can be awkward at times🤣
Oh wow! It must not be easy to stretch in the cockpit!! I understand about the awkwardness. But really, it’s seating for hours and hours that should be weird, not movement!

Really enjoyed watching this , great positive energy! I’ve really got back into my windsurfing again (been doing that other sport that most are trying 🙄) summer in the uk and so far it’s been pretty windy ! Only down side is we’ve finished Ted Lassos 😉
Glad it’s been windy where you are! I may have not mentioned Ted Lasso this time but I definitely needed some gold fish mantra to get through my quarter final exit! So glad you enjoyed this detail in episode 1!

There seems to be some footage of more user-friendly waves besides the competition and the topocalma spot (both of which are not appealing to my intermediate wavesailing skills to be honest - they look very dumpy and closing-out at the end sections). I liked seeing the community involvement too, pro sport often underestimates the value this adds to their sport, and young lives. Well done all involved.
The en section at Topocalma isn’t too bad, it’s more the wind that’s very gusty because of the big rock blocking it. Matanzas can be friendly when not too big. All these waves break on sand, so they’re a little different each season because big storm move the sand.
Beautiful sailing! Out of curiosity, which was your favorite wave, Matanzas, Roca, Topocalma or Pichilemu?
