My ZX-9 power on but nothing happen anymore. I bought it brand new in the 80s I still have it here inside the box.

It has outstanding playback quality. (And records beautifully as well)
Take it to a qualified technician to get it going again.
It is probably just needs new belts.
If it is still in NOS condition, it is worth three to four thousand dollars.

@@KKnockk I took it here in our area to fix it but they cannot fix it or they do not know how to fix it. Willy Herman in California asking for $700 dollars to fix it. I cannot afford that.

Willy Hermann Services is 2600 miles from me.
I am sure that you can find someone else to give it the once over twice.
Find a repair shop that can do cassette decks.
Just a change of belts and tires should be less than $200.
(Unless the pinch roller is also gummy from age)
For $700 is he doing a complete cap change, re-alignment?

@@KKnockk I took it to a repair shop here in my area and the
technician returned it to me. He said that he cannot fix it and very complicated machine.

I think that you need to just call around to electronics repair shops.
Tell them what make/model you have, and ask if they have any technicians that have been around for 35+ years. (At the least, they might have some exposure to high end cassette decks)

I was digging through "the pile" the other day, and came up with an LX 5.
Are you till in the market for a Nakamichi cassette deck?
Should I push on towards getting this deck ready for sale (clean/test/demag...)?
