Nice but you had to have missed a step that you didn't show us! How did you get it so even? After it was done in the sun, I know you had to sand it or something!
Carrie is really practiced at getting it even, so I guess practice, and if you have good magnifiers you can use those to see your work really well as well. And yes, after it is cured, we take it to the lathe to sand/polish, which generally doesn't take too much time. We use 400 and 600 fine grit sandpaper and then zona paper to polish.
