I was into it from the start and the casting is only getting better. They are casting multi-talented actors and just big names or people who just look like the character. Give me a great actor over a doppelgänger any day. Michael Keaton taught us that lesson.
Milly was treat on HoTD she such an incredible actress incredibly inspiring casting shes going to be amazing as kara/ supergirl cant wait to see her portrayal.

Congrats to Milly Alcock. Very interesting she was a favorite of James Gunn’s as soon as he saw her in House of the Dragon. I like the dichotomy of Milly being a person of smaller stature but so powerful as yellow Sun fueled Kryptonian.
Milly is short at 5'4" and Supergirl/Kara is between 5'7" and 5'10". Plus Milly got the role due to nepotism because of James Gunn. This is not a good way for a career. People start to look at actors differently because and due to nepotism.
Super hyped for Milly Alcock she is perfect for the role and a super hot super cutie, super girl!

As soon as I saw that Milly was in the running; I was like....why didn't I think of her?! Hopefully they pull off a great director for the solo. I personally think they have a director but maybe they're in negotiations or something so don't want to confirm it yet.
Meg Donnelly would have been a fantastic Super girl, she voiced the character as well as having fight scenes while in Winchester which solidifies her ability to perform fight choreography.

James Gunn wrote that he never said Milly would be in Legacy. Would it be feasible to introduce her as a subplot at some point in Waller? Who discovers an extra terrestrial life form has landed on earth, sends a team to investigate, and possibly neutralise a treat. Due to a few mysterious fights and incidents, Superman or a "super friend" of, also investigates and finds a homeless girl who needs help. Once Waller is off the scent, Kara is taken to Matha Kent, who take her in to help Clarke prepare Kara for her new surroundings.

I'm so down for Milly Alcock. Exactly what I was looking for in a Supergirl.
Milly was the only reason i watched house of the dragon. She should be a great supergirl.
I hope she has the same attitude as Supergirl from Superman/Batman Apokalypse the animated movie.

Haven’t ever watched a single Game of Thrones episode, but Milly Alcock was fantastic in Tim Minchin’s show “Upright” - a very different tone to anything DCU 😆 Keen to see this; Australians represent!

Its almost the 1 year anniversary of the DCU Chapter 1 announcement. We haven't really had much news since then other than Superman Legacy. I hope we get info on other projects like Lanterns, Supergirl, Booster Gold, and more this year

I don't know if there will be any cameos from the original supergirl movie. But we'll see! It's going to be a space-based movie in another part of the universe though.

I anticipate she will be at the beginning of the movie.
They'll show her and Clark getting put in their pods or whatever and then they'll just follow Clark's pod being fired off leaving the fate of Krypton, or at least his family, probably in some mystery to be revealed later in the movie. Then, finding Kara survived will be in the post credits.

Superman: Legacy is about to be massive and yet small bc all the characters, story, and tone are their I hope it’s executed well from start to finish and man all this sounds exciting yet insane with all the characters interacting with each other also more superheroes and supervillains showing up in upcoming films and tv shows can’t wait for more Im so hyped for more.
This is pretty close to a perfect casting choice; she was excellent in HOD. The girl from the flash movie did fine but that particular version of supergirl isn’t supergirl to me in the same way that Ben Afleck’s murderous Batman isn’t Batman. I wasn’t exited for this movie at all but now I’ve reconsidered.
It would make sense showing her in post credit scene.

Saw a clip of Milly that me think that she'd be great for gwen Stacy, daughter of a NY Police Captain. A lot of agency and brooding + creative spidey energy. Excited to see what JG has in store for Supergirl. I don't think we've seen such a young and "jaded" unironic supe in the movies yet. Might give the Tom King book a read later.

It’s super odd that meg Donnelly already voices supergirl in the recent animated movie and they didn’t cast her as live action supergirl since they want to keep animated voices and live action actors the same.
You're only half right. That only applies to DCU projects. Crisis in a Tomorrowverse movie. Which is not part of the DCU.

I didn't wanna like Sasha Calle's Super Girl but I knew I would if I saw her in action and I did really like her a lot, she did great, straight up stole my heart! Im excited to see Millie Alcock's Super Girl; very satisfied with this casting.

I BELIEVE Millie will do great as our New Supergirl.. WELL the part of Superman being younger and Finding himself AFTER being raised on Earth by the Kent's sounds great. But it SHOULD BE Kara's ship arriving late and Kal-El discovering that the Government found the Vessel Kara Came in to Earth in Smallville BUT CAN NOT OPEN THE SHIP. Superman finds out by the Fortress of Solitudes Equipment of Crystals where in the Fortress Superman learns about his Cousin Kara Years Before her Arrival, ALSO Learning he will need to forcefully defend AND Remove His Cousins Ship from the Government's Grasp. AFTER Rescuing Kara and with the help of a Special Crystal just for Kara, Superman Rescues her and Takes her above the Clouds into the Suns Energy to save her life and Protect Kara from the Goverment. WHICH Government YOU ASK, Well that is America of course, Either Way Kara Will Hopefully Be REPRESENTED PROPERLY, and NOT Multi Versed ALL Over the Place. AS FAR as the Kara Grew up on a Piece of Krypton Rock Chunk after the Planet Exploded IS A WEAK Storyline. SHE Wouldn't have ANY Powers there UNDER THE RED Sun. SO SHE would have Perished. THE Story where Kara Arrives in Smallville and Crashes into the Lake after Clark is a young man is more believable, that way Superman finds out and can Save his Cousin.. Even when (Smallville TV Show), USED THE CRASH LANDING in Smallville YEARS BEFORE, IT MAKES SENSE, Because Clark was Sent there AND Kara in the Comics WAS Older Than Kal El, also sent to Watch Over HER COUSIN, but it Ends Up Clark Kent who Saves Kara.. Sounds a lot better than SOME OTHER Version that Never Could Happen with a blown up Planet WITH NO Atmosphere with a red sun.. JUST MY TWO CENTS...😏 WILL ANYONE EVER GET THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF THE MAN OF STEEL AND THE GIRL OF STEEL RIGHT.. 💎🤨

I've never been much of a fan of Supergirl as I have always felt it dilutes the concept of Superman being the last of his people, but the storyline that is being adapted for the film is VERY well-regarded, so I am watching videos that cover the plot.

Milly (Amelia) seems to be a safe pair of hands for the role. She's a bit short (just under 5'5") but so was Sasha Calle in The Flash movie and it didn't seem wrong for the character.
In the clip Charlie showed of her going around her home I tried to detect an Aussie accent but I couldn't - she sounded English.

Was great in HoD, not sure about this one. But if they actually go with cannon SG (the no holds barred idgaf version) and not the Benoist female Superman version, it has potential. There's smth kinda cold in her expressions that could really sell it.
