Oh my goodness what treasures!
We were so surprised to find them!
What a cool find! I had Barbie, Midge, Ken, Skipper, Scooter and Ricky and some of these outfits. My grandma made me other outfits. Mine were well loved by me, my friends and sister and now by my granddaughters.
Love it!! I haven't heard about Scooter and Ricky! I'll have to look them up
I wonder if one could scan the booklet art and cut out all those cute barbie outfits for Barbie Journal decorations? Probably there are already stickers one could buy on Amazon or wherever. Love your channel LeNae!
Great idea!!
What a wonderful discovery! Not sure what I would do with them. Have fun!
Thank you! It will be interesting
I have all those Barbies the exact ones! And every single outfit in that booklet you showed us on the video! Been collecting 60s for 25 yrs. Finally got it all
Oh wow! That's such an amazing collection! What was it like when you found the last piece?!
It was the craziest thing ever. Really. But feel like life's complete now! @@lenaecreates
Wow!
The oldest Barbie I have is a 1977 Superstar Barbie still in her box! I love the Superstar era. Don't care too much for Barbies before the late 70s and my wallet is thankful for that haha!
Oh wow!
So cute. I’m 76 so I remember them.
They were so much fun to find!
Very nice those discoveries in linen closets are quite rare now. Perhaps it is fair to say you found the needle in the haystack.. if you are fond of them just keep them you will be glad you did...
We were excited to find them! Hidden treasure!
That’s so cool! I had the red headed Barbie! Mine may have been later than ‘62 but not by much.
Love that Carol!
So interesting! I never had/played with Barbie but remember paper dolls. I preferred art supplies and outside with my head in the trees. Fascinating discovery though.
So cool!
This is so fun! I’m so glad great grandmama’s dolls are getting their moment in the sun!
Hi Channing! We miss you! Thanks for watching ❤️
OMG! I had the brunette bubble cut! I got her for my 9th birthday in ‘62. I played with my Barbie til I was 13. I was broken hearted when my mom gave my Barbie to my niece. I had the blue and white striped dress with the straw hat. I saw it in your catalog. My mom made me and my sister each a beautiful turquoise satin dress with pearls on them.
Oh wow! I played with my Barbies until I was in 6th grade. I loved the clothes!
What an amazing discovery. We purchased the Wizard of Oz Barbie Collection for my daughter when she was around 5 or so. We put them away and they have never been opened. She's now 26. You should create a Barbie theme journal. It would be a huge seller at craft fairs this year for sure.
What a fun idea!
You have quite the treasure there and I'm so glad you shared all these wonderful Barbies. To have them in the original boxes and the bookletes is amazing. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
It has been a fun project! Thanks for watching
I got my Barbie when my nieces were little so I would have a model for the clothes I made for their Barbies. I still have the patterns I got to make the clothes. Did a lot of hand sewing on them since they were too small to use the machine to sew anything but the major long seams. Had a lot of fun doing it, but my sisters-in-law thought I was nuts.
Wow! I love that! Tiny clothes with great detail
Wow!!! Wow!!! WOW!!!
a real treasure!
Awww... These are sooooo, so cool! I would have lo ed to find them!! have a recent collection of 69 Barbie type dolls, which includes I think 2 Skippers, 1 MO'esha, and then a set of twin girls from a television show that I inherited a few years ago from a sister at church when her mom passed. Her mom also had 3 very nice, BEAUTIFUL & FULLY decorated doll houses, which I also inherited! Your treasures are beautiful!! And even with green ear, I'm sure are worth a wholllle lot more than $.97!😊 Tfs...
This was such a fun find!
Yes! I had the Barbie with the bubble cut. So much fun. Our daughters loved Barbies too. What I thought was co clever what they did was when a Barbie’s head would come off 😳🙄, they would use it as a mannequin in a store. And if Barbie lost an arm or leg they continued to play with her as a handicapped Barbie. They made wheelchairs, crutches and slings. I was proud of them for not only seeing worth in the toy but also translating that to worth of people with disabilities and incorporating them in their play. Thank you for sharing, brought bake many memories.
I love that!
WOW, what a find! My grandmother recently passed away at 102...she didn't leave me any Barbies but my sister and I inherited her Bookstore instead!
In this video, we couldn't see the shoes... were they red and did they come wuth sunglasses?
Great Video, Thank you for sharing!
Hello! Yes shoes were red and each doll has a sealed plastic bad with the fashion book but no sunglasses
Wow.. I was 2 in 62!!!
Awww I bet you were a cutie!
I am looking to buy my Barbie from my childhood. I have my original Ken & Skipper from 1962. I just want my own memories restored. I’m not a collector but would really like to”My Barbie” back again with my Ken and skipper. She was the brunette Barbie bubble cut, 1962 and according to info I got it is around the 850 edition. I sure would like to purchase it from you if you still have her.
Thank you. Bonnie Mitchell
Hi Bonnie I’m sorry but all of these found Barbie’s and Ken sold on eBay. Good luck with your search.
I have the blond bubble cut one and a blond Ken. Same age as these. Original boxes. They were well played with. When I said I have them, I am meaning that they are mine. I am old enough. Lol
How great that you still have them!
yes i have a few --- or a lot
That’s amazing! What a treasure!
My sister, who was 4 years younger than me, (I’m 74) and I had the blonde bubble cut Barbie and I remember the pink negligee that went with it.
I bet you had fun playing with them! Thanks for watching
I had a Midge and so disappointed, however they sold a rubbery head of Barbie with a couple of wigs so I beheaded Midge and had my Barbie.
You took care of the problem!
This is my second comment. I forgot to add that there is a store called Unique Vintage that carries adult Barbie fashions.
Oh! Interesting!
I had the blonde bubble- cut Barbie. I always thought her name was Midge.
I wondered about that too. I’m not sure how the names all work so I just went by the name on the boxes
@@lenaecreates in the booklet you flipped through, it looked like Midge had long brown hair...
That's so funny. To this day, my sister swears that her Raven-haired bubble cut is named Midge. (It's not. Midge had a different face/often had freckles/didn't have a bubble cut.)
Wow! Those might be worth a ton of money. In original boxes original book…research those before you sell them so you get a good price. Thanks for sharing.
Very true!
I'd love to hear how this all came out. Did you EBay sell them? I hope you did well. Even the empty box would sell.
Thank you for reminding me. I’ll post the end of this story on my community page.
Let me know where you sell them ! I’d love to check them out!
Hi this is an older video. The Barbies sold on eBay over the summer. Thanks for watching
Remove the ear rings immediately!
I’m sure the new owners have done
After seeing some of the new Barbie movie, I'm so sad about her new image. They portrayed her as an icon for young girls to latch onto, while girls beat their baby dolls to death. Ken was portrayed as being a misogynist and men in general portrayed as being repressors of women who need put in their place. Sad the woke agenda has gone after Barbie!😢
I saw the movie and where I can see that it might been seen that way the overall theme was girls can do anything. This was something that we weren’t always told. Barbie was iconic because she was an astronaut and a doctor. Our play helped teach us we could do it too. Ken is considered Barbie’s accessory because that’s what the Ken doll was for. Not men. Just Ken.
