That PTO "feel" was adjustable on later tractors. If there's a bolt with a jam nut going up into the bottom of the PTO control valve, then it can be adjusted. If you don't have that bolt, then it's non-adjustable. You could disassemble, clean, and put new orings in the control valve. It's possible if the hydraulic oil had moisture in it that the water settled out in the bottom of that valve, and that's where the "feel" spring and valve are. If they got rusty and stuck, there goes your feel.
I think it does have that adjustment down there. I wondered if that was it. It also is very touchy about staying engaged or keeping the brake on. It's like it needs an extra 1/2" of travel on the lever because I can move the rod manually and it works great. May be another video out of that! Thanks for the info! Six foot mower, eight foot tractor... Still works!!! 14' works nice behind an 8' wide tractor... just have to have the ponies in front of it😎👍 PTO speed is important.....
Yep, that's about right. But the price was right on it, so I can't complain 🤷♂️😎. A 14' or so would be nice, but for what I do it probably doesn't warrant one. Still be nice tho! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Yeah, that's for sure! Yeah, bigger brushhog would be great! If I ever find one at the "right price" might have to pick it up! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Yeah that's about right! that outside tube is like 16gauge. I might have to grab another PTO shaft I have laying around and swap yokes out so it mounts to the mower. I've broken that shaft about 5 times, not always on engagement either. Rather frustrating. The 1755 and the 1650 would all break that shaft too. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Mowing is my favorite. I bought an 8 foot dual spindle for my 1655 and I can't wait to use it this coming spring.
Ohh, nice! You'll really knock it down with that! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great works Sir on you field and also great diesel tractor sound 😊👍 Cheers
Thank you! Yep, hard to beat the sound of a turbo-diesel! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Love the turbo diesels 😍
I know you do! They're hard not to love, aren't they? Thanks for watching and commenting, Jake!
Nope PTO shaft isn't heavy enough for the 1855! You need a bigger brush hog lol 😂👍
