      This is half true. When he came in with conte dude had COVID for a couple of weeks also he had a hard time fitting in a 2 man midfield which he can’t play in. I love biss now but he struggled a lot under conte because he just not as good as being in a 2 man midfield. Again he is a great player with true quality but an awful or below average in a 2 man midfielder. But conte does take some blame in not making him fit into the system.

    The biggest part of Ange's genius and transformative effect on the squad is his ability to instill full confidence in the players to be able to express themselves and take risks - van de ven the other day said that after making a mistake he just heard ange yelling more, more, more and it lifted everyone. People really forgot how amazing he was at Brighton, I’d argue he was world class second half of the 21/22 season. I remember he completely marked Kane out of the game twice that year

    If I was to describe Bissouma I’d just say number 6. He can do everything required in that position, on and off the ball, to an elite level. Truly on his way to being world class

      Sarr plays as the 8. A b2b midfielder, in front of Biss.

      He’s way way better than Dembele. Dembele couldn’t make a progressive pass much less a goal contribution to save his life-totally one dimensional compared to Bissouma.

    Yves is kinda like prems version of Frenkie de Jong, a player who can play at any position really, looks for spaces and most importantly; who can receive a ball under pressure and drive a ball forwards. Yves is an exceptional player and he only played 8 games, im looking forward to what this guy will do

    Those stats also showed Kulusevski in a very positive light. He hasn't produced as much in terms of G/A and hasn't looked as impactful as when he first came, so I'm surprised the stats were so high

      I believe he's the player in the PL who has covered the most distance. He's also scored two goals. And we are only 6 games in. I think his workrate is actually more deceptive that it appears - hence why he has kept his place and is the one in the spurs front 4 that is rarely subbed - and why Brennan came in to replace Soloman

    When it came to combined 11’s people (mostly Arsenal fans) absolutely dismissed him because of Rice, Maddison, and Odegaard. All I’m saying is sure you may only be able to take 1 of Bissouma or Rice, but it’s not as clear cut as you think if your decision is purely based off this season. Depends on the football you want that team to play.

    • @stephenpalmer9375
      @stephenpalmer9375 7 месяцев назад

      they are just differnt players. Bissouma is there to keep the play moving forward, break the lines. Rice is more of a destroyer, who is capable of the odd strong foray forward. Both I would suggest are critical to how a team plays - hence maybe why Arsenal feel a bit off the pace at the beginning of the season.

    Ange had Reo Hatate at Celtic who was capable of similar touch and movement, lost the ball a little more than Bissouma, but is still developing. Hatate is a class player and could do well in the EPL in my opinion.

  • @BogusDudeGW

    Sarr/Bentancur/Skippy are the holding midfielders protecting the back line. Biss is our box to box midfield general, our new Moussa Dembele we hoped Ndombele would be, Moussa was unreal on the ball too but hopefully in this system Yves can add a lot more goals and assists to his game, that was Moussa's only downfall to his game, a player that good shoulda had more end product but rarely got high enough to score.

    He is the pivot on which Angeball works , loving his performance and play making this season . Hope Bentancur can get fit to provide both rotation and options to continue the teams progress this season and into the future. A very high standards player that is making Tottenhams midfield so formidable and showing why other teams and fans, can not be so dismissive of Anges revolution . I'm loving Big Ange instead ! CoYS.

    Ironically I think you have to look down the seven sisters road to see where this type of role came from. Thomas Partey was this hybrid destroyer, progressive dribbler, and progressive passer springing counter-attacks in Simeone's structured 4-4-2 formation. Before his injuries, he was immense in the Atleti side that won the Europa League, well worth looking back to see how good he was in Madrid!

    Bissouma didn't play very well in the Arsenal game and I thought the Sheffield game either. His touches, passing, positioning and some other stuff just felt a bit off but even with that he still played well, skinned players, was confident and received the ball in pressure and made huge moves in both games. When he is playing so much better than everyone else it's hard to touch him.
