It has three lenses, not seven. The other focal lengths have to be crops, no? This will result in images with much less resolution than 48 mpx. It sounds like marketing BS to me.
It's tricky but the way apple palings it is they should with a couple of lenses at the same time and then combine the images. I'll be doing tests over the next few days to find out how this all works and I anticipate putting up some downloadable images in an article I do on photoPXL.
It all depends on what you are doing with your phone and how much you use it. I am a photographer, and run a website for photographer photoPXL so having the latest gear is important and I think the new features especially if you do photography seem worth the upgrade.
Good point, but I am on the plan where I pay around 70.00 per month (kind of like a lease) and can upgrade every twelve months. Being a photographer as well as a website and content provider I need to do this.
I bought the 15 Pro Max too. I'm currently using the XS. Waiting anxiously for it.
Mine is arriving today, looking forward to shooting this weekend.

@@photoPXL a video on how to make a large print from one of these latest iPhones would be nice to see. I have the Epson P900.
From a 14 to a 15? There is not that much difference between the two. Heck, I have a 13 Pro Max and I ain't upgrading!
