It's been a minute. I'm planning on getting back into a normal posting schedule now, but wanted to start out with an original - just capturing memories of our family.
It's Christmas season! Which is a really fun time but also can be so stressful and hard. I wanted to take a minute and share some thoughts I have on being frugal and deinfluencing and anticonsumeritic lol.

I have not purchased a single Christmas gift this year. We will enjoy a meal with the family on Christmas day, and our presence will be the best gift to each other.

Kia ora from sunny NZ Becca. I was a stay at home thrifty mum too many years ago (I am a great Nanna now) but I remember visiting thrift shops regularly for bargains. My kids never worried about where their toys came from. We ate basic foods, went to parks or the beach, my boys all played Rugby and Cricket etc. They have never complained about me being thrifty and them not having anything. I often wondered how I did manage with 5 kids. I honestly don't know how people survive these days?? On credit cards and bank loans I am assuming? Have a super Christmas. I know you will make it magical for your little ones!
It’s so true! People are insane buyers these days. They see everyone else with certain items so they feel it’s a need at that point to have it too. If we get something expensive it’s with a buy it for life mentality. I think our kids will appreciate it when they get older!
