If you haven't seen them, they did five animated prequel shorts to the game that introduced the main Midnight Suns members, as well as setting up a lot of the story elements of the game. I think there's also a prequel novel that fills in the gap between the last of those shorts and the beginning of this game, but I have yet to read it, so it could be entirely unrelated for all I know.
Honestly I remember seeing the first trailer for this game then basically nothing for two years… so maybe those shorts & prequel novel is great but I’d imagine only about 7 people have read/seen it
