U should have gone till end of trail, and there u would have found a big parking space after that there is 1.5 km long trek and in end u would have seen best view of binsar valley. Seriously i have been to so many hilly places of India but that view is soooo surreal.

I did Binsar last year, must visit this nature.. but you went too late, right time to visit is Early morning, say around 6-7 am all though I too reached around 11 am
