Making a change indeed! This inspired our youth group to perform this dance at our evangelistic coffeehouse night event which we put up a video to. Praise God for this ministry and keep prayin' for our nation- Amen!
Only one word can describe this song: INCREDIBLE. It is so amazing. There is Christian music, but THIS, this is a whole other animal. This is not only a GREAT tune but it will also spread GOOD messages to the youth of our generation as opposed to so much in the media that only spreads lies. 2:19 onward is particularly chilling, it almost made me cry. "A love that gives and forgives, doesn't judge but extends a helping hand. A love that finds a need and fills it" Wow. Incredible.
I was 9 years old and my Brother was 14 years old when this song played on the Air on August 24th, 2010. 13 years later I'm 22 years old and William is 27 years old and we thank Gen Z for making 2010 the greatest year to be Kids and the joy that brighten our lives.
My family and friends used to listen to this song over and over years ago. We would dance in our game room and have a blast. Here I am 2014 still listening to it. And I don't plan on stopping! Make a change!!!!
Me and a couple friends of mine Sang it and danced to it in chaple, had a lot of fun, everyone one didThe talker that day had a lot more people come up to him and give their selves to God
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song! As a teacher in a middle school setting I have to say one fo the coolest things I'm praying for this year is to hear this song at one of our dances. The music makes you want to get up and move in so many ways. I hope my "other kids" get a chance to hear this song and want to move in those amazing ways.
A year or two back, I went on a mission trip to Chicago with my church and after doing some service our group leader took us out for a treat and afterwards he put on the music and a pretty much all of the kids got out of the car and started dancing in the parking lot~there was a main road right next to the parking lot and EVERYONE was staring at us through their car windows. It was the best :)
I agree WhatYouMariah. ALL music that uplifts Jehovah is praise to Him. If someone doesnt like the type of music, it doesnt mean God wont use it. God doesnt ask us if we like a song or an artist before He uses it to reach a sinner's heart. God is good...all the time. :)

That though has to do with the church being relevant. Here it is stated God is entirely irrelevant. If someone or something is irrelevant it hold zero value to be revolutionary because revolution is founded on a cause or belief to be defended. Irrelevance shortly defined is disconnected. God is not disconnected with or from us. This statement whether intentionally or non intentionally questions God's omniscience and omnipresence. God is not disconnected as many perceive Him to be nor is He ignorant. Given the scriptural passage about what love is and what love does...and the fact that Rachel Lampa who was involved in Press play around this time period...known for songs about falling into heaven and having a close relationship with Abba father...I am a bit shocked she could sing or endorse such lyrics or other Christians for that matter and not think about the lyrics to this song.]
We ought never tho let God being able to use things to His glory be an excuse for not producing or critiquing things theologically and biblically to eleimate the sound mind bit of love power and sound mind.
if this song cant bring us together and fill our hearts with forgiveness and love -- don't know what will if it wasn't 4 am I would b dancing thank u to Press Play for doing such an inspirational and uplifting song
I haven't listen to a christian station in a long time. Then yesterday I was hanging out with my friends and one of my friend was listing to 106.3 air one station and this song came on and we were just dancing in her room having fun. I liked it so much that I started to listening to the station so much and listening to it on here. This song is just awesome that it brings new people listening to a christian station when they think there not and now I can't stop listening to the station. :)
THIS type of music appeals to YOUTH. our ministry plays this on Tuesday Nights for the youth along with Lecrae, why should you write this, all empowering music that lifts Jehovah up is praise to him. :)

this song is soooo right! we all need love from above (from God), and we should love everyone, nomatter where we come from! I think that the adult version of Chris shows that we should love people, not hate them.

Same. I wonder why they stopped playing it?
Air 1 got rid of a lot of songs because they went more holy music than Christian pop.

This song is played at the beginning of church every Saturday it puts smiles on all our faces and we dance it out😊
Love it!!!! Heard this song on the radio today and was so excited to hear an awesome upbeat Christian dance song! Thank YOU!!!
While L.I.T.O. may be more popular, I definitely think that this song is catchier. That's possibly just me, but I love this song.
not just you. NY2LA sounds much better than its counterpart LITO!
The fact He does judge fairly and perfectly and that He is not just like us...the fact He does bring us salvation we are not to neglect is what makes Him different. God does not find a need. He knows our needs. We find our own need for Him and yes, He will and can fill it. We as humans find needs, see needs. We however cannot love fully like God so we intercede on others behalf in this life for their eternity.
A different kind of love
A love that shares hope, vision and dreams
A love that's not relevant, but revolutionary
[My brain: ... ... at this point, I am running out of record scratches. "A love that's not relevant" is an interesting point because relevancy had been pushed in the church too much and to its detriment a sole focus, particularly toward younger audience...relatability was and had been at large forgotten or dismissed.

Me too.
Me too!
Everybody get together
Let's work it out
[My brain: with whom?]...[also...This is where we start? With humankind instead of God?]
Got the answer for this world
Let's make it count
[My brain: citing the scripture which delineates the importance of giving a reason for the hope which lives in us...ok.]
Uh oh, uh oh
It's time to live it out
This crazy world we're livin' in
Is lookin' to us now
[My brain: yes, they are looking at us...as representatives...important distinction missed and muddled here as to where we should guide people to look]
CHORUS
Oh, we all need love
A different kind of love
One that only comes from above
(X2)
[My brain: TRUE]
Everybody dance
Everybody move
We can make a change
From New York to LA
(X2)
[My brain: Record scratch..."We...we can make a change...tricky...we can be influential...but it's God who makes the change in people's hearts. Talk about trying to steal God's glory....also why are we just focusing making a difference in the not so united States anymore? Not to say we oughtnt...but Jesus said to go out to all the world. This song merely reinforces the exclusion in the Christian media movies and songs about going out into all the world and really what it is to have a missionary heart.]
It's made up to you and me
[My brain: what is "it"? And what's "MADE up"? To "you and me. I'm not singing this song. I can only think how heavy the world is on the shoulders of those who think and believe wholeheartedly things ARE up to themselves, rather than casting our cares before the cross. Anxiety on steroids type living.]
So what's it gonna be
We can make a stand today
For love and unity
[My brain: surface level sounds good but love and unity are definitely things pushed by agenda these days]
Uh oh, uh oh
I think the time has come
For us to make a difference
And live as one
[My brain: "To live as one" is very new age since it's referring spiritually rather than God's marital "one flesh" design. Overly romanticized ideally in New Age. Again. Live as one with whom? Each other only or with God?]
Chorus
We are here on planet earth
To make a change
To stand for those who cannot
To never back down
But stand proud for God
[My brain: Mmm. There is a difference twixt pride and confidence]
The one and only true love
A different kind of love
A love that gives and forgives
[My brain: Um this is an interesting insert here as to how people perceive God and how He had been represented that the song writers felt it necessary to include that God isn't just a God who takes away but also gives???]
Doesn't judge but extends a helping hand
A love that finds a need and fills it
[My brain: record SCRATCH... ...stop. Hold up a minute. Yes. GOD DOES JUDGE. This sentence nullifies and somehow manages also to undermine all previous theology in the lyrics. The fact He does judge fairly and perfectly and that He is not just like us...the fact He does bring us salvation we are not to neglect is what makes Him different. God does not find a need.
