I think the Norwegian Royal family requested this performance as their way of promoting Angelina to the world. Norway is immensely proud of her, and rightly so.
The royal family has always liked good vocalists. Sissel Kyrkjebø has preformed for them a billion times at this point.
This was not a first time for Angelina. She has been a part of a crew for Crown Prince Haakon few times earlier :-)

Yes, money has never been on her priority list. She (her family) has turned down Disney and a lot of other companies. Angelina is going to do things she feel is the right thing to do. She will never go for the fast, easy and big money.

Yea its so cool to watch first reaction of people reacting to angelina.. And im so glad i found her. I watched Norways got talent when she won. And seen her on allsang på grensen a couple of times. But then some years went by and i diddent hear anything. I randomly found her on RUclips when she did AGT. and looked true her channel and she done alot of stuff. And then some months ago, maybe a year. I found her second channel and i been hooked ever since..

She is only a cute little girl who sings old time music. But that is about to change. I got hooked a couple of months ago, when I discovered her cover channel. She is amazing.

I don't know if I am right or not but IMHO, this beautiful girl -Angelina Jordan has a commitment with the world humanity ; like if some one from a higher step , above humans have compromise her to improve the human lifes behaivor through her person. in orderto help people to become better human been....just remeber what she did at 6 year old ,supporting a poor child and making a commitment to her self to not wear shoes till children of the whole world have them. besides , her own compositions always speaks about love and hope, same as her covers. I am very sure that She is a gifted person , and that gift comes from the top.

The Crown Prince of Norway was doing a virtual visit to California. He met with authorities there and as closing of a part of the visit, they invited Angelina to sing (of course virtually too from her studio in Los Angeles).
For this official occasion, instead of promoting one of her new songs, she chose to sing a song that has carried a deep message for more than 30 years. We need to care more for each other. Love conquers all!
This is what Angelina wanted to do all her life, sing for the world to be a better place, and now she's using the platform she has been given to do exactly that 💖

Back in 2015/6 she sang for the Crown Prince at an event in Brazil, that was the old style "physical" event, this time it was just a virtual visit, live stream. Angelina is a great ambassador for Norway! Here she breathes new life into this iconic song, in Brazil she sang "What a Wonderful World", things have changed so much, the world needs healing, and Angelina is doing her bit to make it a better place!

Angelina was (somehow - though I believe she has connections with the Norwegian royalty [rightly so maybe 😄] but I'm sure some of my Norwegian or more knowledgeable friends will confirm this fact) invited to sing on Day1. This happened 45 minutes into the virtual conference when she was really nicely introduced and the feed switched to her studio and this video clip and hence the opening sentences. ( by the way Cliff - this is where my tears started as we - member of The Shield facebook fan club where streaming it live and I guess the anticipation had built up massively. )
So it was a very fitting song for the occasion she was performing for.

Perfect but oddly timed for me, I had a 3 year old over yesterday and holy shxt thats a weird thing to say but watching everyone else connected to different electronics while dissconnected from the little one playing in the dirt kinda freaked me out. Such a dizzying mixture of worry, disappointment, failure, sadness, betrayal, and feirce longing to protect. Disheartening to say the least. 💞

I've been told that Per Heimly, who directed "I Put a Spell on You" was good friends with Ari Behn, who was married to Princess Martha Louse. Angelina apparently became introduced to the royalty in this way. Ari committed suicide on Christmas Day of 2019. A day after his death, an obviously emotional Angelina recorded this song in his memory.
