I know that the term is being thrown around very easily these days, but she's truly a generational talent! In many ways, she makes me think of someone like Céline Dion, who started her career at the age of 13 here in Quebec, and is now being regarded as the best female vocalist of our times! Angelina Jordan is THAT type of talent!
I don’t think Simon was unsure. I think he knew immediately that she was a star who was already on her way and didn’t need the show.

Yea in the end of last preformence when she got the golden buzzer and they went on stage he said to her. "i dont think you know how good you are".. But maybe abit at the beginning when she called him a legend. he didn't say it out loud but was basically like yea i know... Lol..

Her Golden Buzzer Mama Heidi had visited her some days ago and she was very impressed of her newest song 7th heaven. Maybe they talk about the new AGT season next half year .it have to be a win -win when she comes back as a star
@@CliffBeatsOfficial Simon knew how good she was before she was on the show. He is many things, but he is not stupid & he does his homework. According to her manager/uncle, Michael Astar, Simon had been trying to get her on the show for 2 years prior, but they refused because of the standard AGT contract. Simon had to offer her a special contract that relinquished any control over her before she would sing. He needed her for the ratings & she needed a giant platform to display her vocal artistry. A lot of play acting goes on in these shows.
Her God given talent is given by the best vocal coach...just saying. Angelina is the complete package and I am so lucky to be alive at this time. Thumbs up Cliff.

Simon is the head of ALL of The Got Talent shows around the world and therefore was fully aware of Angelina while she was performing on Norway's Got Talent. No doubt in my mind, Simon along with the other judges had listened to many hours of Angelina singing prior to her appearance on AGTTC. I also believe the vast majority of the music industry knows of Angelina and realize her incredible talent. Republic Records is taking their time promoting her probably since she is still only 15 and also since she is so different than other artists in so many ways, most notably her choice to stay off social media (for the most part) since she says it takes away from her creativity. Republic needs to develop a unique strategy for a once in forever artist.

AGT tried to get her on their show since she won NGT in 2014.Her manager/uncle Michael convinced her that the contract would stifle her creativity and development as an artist,so they held out for a nonbinding aggreement which she eventually got.It also meant that she wouldn't win the show probably.
Simon wants Total Control so he can Make Mo Money from artists - but her uncle didn't fall for his bullshit.
If you win, the contract is that you sign with Simon (in one of his various production agencies). my understanding was that the family chose not to sign, which is why she didn't sing in the finals.

@@berniescott4014 I'm not sure what they call the last " finals" Bernie .. where there's usually only five contestants .. sometimes 6 ... but it's after the" finals" where she sang Yellow Brick Road. They did ask her to sing the song with the Russian sand painter and the young violinist .. but she was no longer part of the contestants the people were voting on at the end .. the point I was really making was that the family chose not to sign the contract, which I thought was very protective and a correct choice for Angelina.
She does have a performance in the AGT finale, Someone You Loved, and it's the best finale ever!! Her uncle/ manager said that this was for exposure for Angelina and Agt wanted the ratings. She was never going to sign with them.

There’s a story behind your comment about Simon. Angelina’s management (her uncle) wouldn’t let Angelina go on AGT if she had to sign a contract and there was a stand off for a couple of years. When she went on she didn’t have sign to Syco, and later signed to Republic. Her family wanted to sign where she would get artistic freedom. I expect they weren’t expecting her to be so F’ing Good.
If Simon was anything, he was pissed off. This absolute certain golden egg of a soon to be mega-star refused to sign with his label. So he was watching the hundreds of millions of dollars he never can own.

Clliff, she has touched your heart. Your brain has a tough time figuring out what happened to you, but, not your heart. Her love poured into your heart and it's reaction to your body is goosebumps, tearing up (or full out crying), and inability to make sense talking right after listening to her. And, Cliff, thousands and thousands of us around the world have gone down the same road as you. The feeling you get from her will never leave you but the shock effect will and allow you to enjoy her with all your heart.

The fact that she actually already being performed on big concerts even though they invited this young girl to performed in private places. she's been "working" .. intensively, since she was two years old. And if you keep following, you will see, without a doubt, that she never stops "working" to strengthen and develop her instrument. Working in quotations is because i believe what drives her is pure passion and music itself. (and her grandmother!🥰 thank you, Mery!)
Please, some day, go back to Norway's Got Talent, when she was 7 years old singing Gloomy Sunday (Billie Holiday) and other classics .. all worth watching.
But also two BRILLUANT covers are Screaming Jay Hawkins' I PUT A SPELL ON YOU in black and white with a fabulous jazz band. She is nine. The other one I love hugely is IT'S A MAN'S WORLD where she is 11, and sings with the Oslo Military Band. (Hang on to SIMETHING as you watch both of those!)😊
AGT and Simon were not unsure. They knew exactly who she was. They negotiated for two years to get her to sing. They basically gave her a contract with no provisions. She actually copyrighted her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody.
I am power watching some of my favourite Angelina Jordan reactions. And of course u r one of the reactors I truly enjoy. At first I felt like she was robbed by not winning AGT, but it turned out great for her with the Republic record contract. They’re promoting her her as their top artist for this year and she deserves every bit of her success after working so hard to develop her innate talent. It’s so gratifying to see how she is supported by her lovely family. 🥰
Someone else mentioned that Simon and his bosses knew she wasn't going to sign any contract with them, so that ended any chance of her winning, "OR" those so called "Super Fans" were a bunch of little kids with cell phones that didn't know squat about musical talent, and were captivated by people jumping around on stage. Those are the ONLY explanations for Angelina not finishing in the top 5. Tell me what ANY of the acts that finished above her are doing right now.

Cliff, I think when Simon said "I love this song" he meant the original. He is from England, like Elton John, so probably he heard it many times. I'm sure he was expecting something special from Angelina. I think Simon didn't do his homework with Angelina's audition. Probably never heard her before.
I believe that Simon wanted to sign her up but she would have nothing to do with him and later signed up with Liberty Records . LOL

One of the videos from her Bohemian Rhapsody performance shows the whole judging panel on stage after her golden buzzer has Simon saying to Angelina, "I don't think you know how good you are," Personally, I think Angelina knew, but her humility threw Simon off. As i read ANGELINA, this is direct to Simon "i didnt sign up with you", she didnt. Wich is the worst she could have done. She is back out of the yellow brick roud, to get , even us that dosnt used to like yazz, to fall in love with that music style.
I'm not a fan of vocal runs but hers are as delicate as the lace your grandma use to make. And that last note is enough to melt your heart. Her AGT performances are now iconic.

Many contestants on AGT try to outdo one another by singing louder than anyone else, but it's funny that Angelina has the guts to do the opposite. She won over the audience by singing quietly, softly and calmly. Sometimes less is more.
I totally agree with u about Simon...he was pissed bc hee parents did not want to sign with him and now she has her own label and all the control as she should....she could sing the phone book!!!! I hate when the song is over I could listen to her forever! Great job Cliff♡

You noticed all the cell phone lights in the audience, did you also notice that you could hear a pin drop in an arena filled with 1000's of people....she is hypnotic.
They were actually not cell phones. The audience had been provided with "candles." They would not have encouraged folks to record the performances.

Simon has known of her since she won Norways Got Talent. Her family would not let her go on any other shows because they wanted her to have as " regular" of a childhood as possible. Simon also knew by her agreeing to be on this show he had no rights to her contractually. That was also why she couldn't win it, it was part of their contract. No one has ever pushed back with not signing with Simon's recording company.
Cliff, someone told, that Sir Elton John thanked her for this performance. "You put my old song, dusted it off and gave it new life" is what I read.

How could she not win agt-ch. However just watch her she is there to perform not compit she neded America to she her and she won everybodys heart anyway. I hope you would react to Angie singing at Alan Walker's homecoming its a big consert with philharmonic orchestra wery nice arrangement the video lasts ca 9 minuts and Angie sings 2 songs: put me to sleep, and faded she is only ten year then. It wasn't Simon's first introduction to her during her first song. He's been trying to get her on this show since she won Norwegians Got Talent. But her family shielded her and made sure she got more schooling and a sort of normal childhood. He knew from the time she decided to go on the show that he had no chance of winning because that was part of the contract. He also knew he was not going to be able to sign her to his record label for this reason.

Cliff, speechlessness is a response AJ evokes in us all. Your reactions are so much fun. Simon's loss, since her team didn't want to sign with him, but he still respects her. They all support her. At age 15, makes sense for her to go a little slow with the stardom.
