Hi The Fenman - for your information, British Railways 2-6-0 Ivatt Class Two No. 46521 is not a Western Region locomotive, it is in fact, a Midland Region locomotive, as it has the distinctive Stainer hooter whistle. Best wishes and take care. Kind regards, Peter Skuce. St Albans. Hertfordshire.
I'm planning to got to one of there galas this year was wondering as i know there is alot of paths along line are they all simple to get to from the stations. thanks
kinetic .rail All the locations in this video are easy to get to. There's a path that goes along side the line from Peterborough to just outside of Orton Mere, the path then goes a little away from the line to get to Orton Mere station, the path then goes almost along side the line, crosses over the line (where the first shot of 46521, 75008 & 30541) before getting to Ferry Meadows. The path again goes along side the line up to Lynch Bridge (a good shot where the trains have to slow to 5mph over it and then power away). From there, it's a bit difficult to walk up to Castor and Wansford. It's easier to walk from Wansford back towards Castor
Ok then thanks yer i knew of bit between Peterborough and orton mere but wasnt sure of the rest thanks. Im hoping to go to there 40th anniversay gala with royal scot and the deltic
