Love the ideas. Ordered the tube today. Instead of the chain in the loader tube, I am gonna cut down a "pool noodle" and center it and glue it so I can access the storage from both ends. Thanks for the hacks.

I bought a metal tool box that came in John Deere green and mounted it on top of the front bumper frame of my 2032r. It has worked out well. I store chains, and wrenches in it. The box doesn't interfere with the loader and has worked for me.

Find your self a grenade military ammo box. Mount it the steel plate on the front of your tractor. The holes are all ready in the plate. At the right height it will not interfere with the loader or brush guard. Mine works great on my 2025R.

Great tips. I just got my 2032r and the lack of good toolbox is really annoying.

Good video. I like the idea of the tube under/next to the seat. Slick idea!

It seems that no manufacturer can engineer a decent tool box on a compact tractor lol! Nice solution Josh.

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors

You got that right! Seems so simple... It can take me a solid 15 minutes or better to get back to the house for tools when something goes wrong on the back 80... Just need something big enough for the essentials... I think I have a viable solution that won't interfere with anything but need to get it together to share.

Instead of UV resistant ties, I use black steel and SS ties a lot. They are very strong.

I think you were right the first time. It looks like a 5/16th chain....maybe a 3/8th, but a 5/8 chain would be much bigger.

For your rate of drop spray from back of tractor PB Blaster where the shaft goes into the housing. Let set and repeat. Mine freed up after 2 days.

Awesome thanks for the suggestion, will give that a try! Btw, I went ahead and bought that manual so hopefully will get the pedal calibration video before too long... Was running into some issues last time so hoping find some additional help in sections around what you shared with me.

@@HardyBrothersOutdoors when calibrating, take your time, remember, the last step is to turn key off. Mine gave an error, however, when I tried it, it was fixed. Good luck.

Use a piece of PVC pipe cut to length with a screw on clean out cap. Zip ties or hose clamps to mount without drilling holes.

  • @bearvonsteuben9675

This first gen 2032R I just got has the same tube zip tied to one of the ROPS uprights. It’s apparently not ideal, as I see the Light fixture on that side is also zip tied . Prev. Owner must have had a little kerfuffle in that area. I don’t have need of a FEL on this particular tractor, so I’ll be trying to come up with other tool storage options. BTW, I’m learning a lot about these 2 series rigs from your videos, and as I learn more I’ll be interested to see the changes/differences between the generations (besides the obvious ergonomics). Thanks!

    • @HardyBrothersOutdoors

Yeh those light fixtures are like tree magnets when mowing... mine is Gorilla taped on... Tool box seems so simple yet a major oversight by JD. Glad the videos are helpful!

Nice large garage for your sawmill and tractor. I store my sawmill in the garage also but that’s all that will fit. I noticed you also have a 3 point winch. I have the Farmi winch. You do a lot of things that I do. I’m in Northwest Arkansas. I mill mostly hardwood. What kind of trees are local to use?

Hi Tom, thanks for watching and commenting... We have about 177 acres here and have all sorts of hardwoods and some white pine. We have Cherry, White, black, scarlet, and Red Oaks, most of the Ash is dead from the Emerald Borer, walnut, maple, hickory, poplar and many more... Sadly my mill has very few hours on it, I'm looking forward to when I have some more time and I actually want to build a mill shed so I can just roll up and mill vs. doing the set up. I had thought the portable mill would be easy for me to take around my property so I could move the logs less but we have so many hills and muddy impassable roads that I've never got it past the front of the property. I just got done concreting outside of the barndo so i maybe able to just roll it out and mill right on the new parking pads. The Uniforest 35M works really well but again haven't gotten as much use as I'd like... hoping to ramp that up soon too. What mill do you have? I just subb'd to your channel and will check it out. Looks like the Norwood HD36. That was the mill I was going to buy but had some issues with the Norwood sales and customer service so ended up with the Woodmizer.

Downside to using that tube is it will reduce lifting capacity

      @HardyBrothersOutdoors  3 года назад +1

Yeh, not sure I have a great suggestion for them but it surely should be a design consideration. I assume they are marketing to the 10-15 acre owner that doesn't end up 20 minutes away through the woods on the back 80... :-)
