What Does Differential Fluid Do?
Differential fluid ensures the differential stays working in peak condition for a long time. Differential oil is sometimes referred to as gear oil and is found in the axle housing. It's designed to perform under high-pressure situations, rather than high temperatures like engine oil.
Differential fluid:
Lubricates clutch packs, gears and bearings
Lubricates the ring and pinion gears that move power to the wheel axles from the driveshaft
Cools and lubricates the differential
Without differential fluid, the differential would overheat due to metal-on-metal contact. That means it would burn itself out and possibly cause safety issues and require expensive repairs

a oil pump, this you can bye at a marina shop.
2 x 10mm Wrenches
A 13mm and 10mm socket with extension
Torque wrench with 5 and 6mm allen (Hex) key
A Oil Drain Pan

No need to remove winch for front differential.
Hi, I have a question, today I drained the oil from the rear differential and look and behold there was 0.7l inside. In the manual it says that it goes 0.24l. Or to the cork, which is correct?
Hi there, in my book it’s 240ml. 0,24 L. It seems like you need to fill it up just under the filling hole treds. So in the manual they list up recommended amount, but they also say that you need to fill it up to the filling cap bottom threads. Hope this will help.

Yes you do that. And i too need to fill more haha.
Weird , When i drained mine came basically no oil out but i had to fill over 0.5l to the thread.

SAE 80W-90 API GL-5 . Any company is good as long you have same specifications. Buy 1 liter because back differential takes over 240ml.
