Hi Nick, Just wanted to say thank you for this great video. Managed to connect my speakers following the simple instructions, the only difference being that in the UK, the RCA cables and the six-way splitter aren't included with the speakers. I got hold of the RCA cables locally and ordered the splitter off eBay. Now my set-up is exactly as shown in your video. Whilst waiting for the parts to arrive, this is how I connected the TV to the speakers: TV>Audio out>RCA cables>*3.5mm audio input adapter/extension*>2 way splitter>2 way splitter>2 way splitter (creating four 3.5mm inputs)>coloured speaker wires in 3/4 splitters *3.5mm audio input adapter connecting RCA and original splitter input* Long winded I know, but it does the job in case anyone is struggling or doesn't have the 6-way splitter. I had most of the other stuff lying around apart from the 3.5mm adapter/extension. Anyway, thanks again! This video was a huge help! Now I can enjoy the superb sounding audio! I wanted to make use of Spotify and now the sound quality is superb rather than standard speakers on a Sony Bravia. Cheers, Dan.
hello, how is it possible to get the surround system to work effectively on my Sony TV.. with this setup it will just make all speakers work the same, and the surround system is useless..
so plugging in the 3 (green, black and orange) jacks into the splitter, which is then plugged into the green headphone port on tv or laptop, will make all 5 speakers work.
Because you are adapting it to a stereo output sound source, The X-530's will give you a simulated surround but spread across the full 5.1 speakers. Which is still exponentially better then listening through your TV speakers. To get discrete 5.1 surround, you would need to use an optional aftermarket TOSLINK to PC 5.1 adapter to hook to the optical audio out on the back of the TV.
The center channel and four satellite speakers are all wall mountable by simply rotating the stand 180 degrees. The center is not designed to hook onto the TV, but you could probably rig it to sit on top of it fairly easily using the wall mounting holes.
Can you do a video or share a resource where we can find out how to connect jack wiring to the main speaker wiring. I have logitec x-530 with a jack which has 4 wires(2 red 2 white) needs to be connected to main speaker wires (3 red , 1 black, white and orange wire). which wire needs to connect to which wire
I need help, i've got the splitter, but when I try and plug the back bits in to the sockets L and R the sound doesn't come out of the speakers, It's linked to my xbox 360 via a hdmi cable, I don't know what to do!?
So if I order this from your site and hook it up to my TV exactly like you did in the video, will it be true 5.1 when watching TV and playing Xbox 360? I read all the comments but couldn't find an answer. :-\
Typically you would hook the game system up to the TV and then the TV up to the speakers, but I do beleive you can hook the Xbox360 up directly using the analog RCA cables it came with and adapting the Red & White connectors to a single 3.5mm.
Thanks for replying. I ordered the speakers from your site and they came today (the shipping was a lot faster than I expected). The only out port I have on my TV is optical digital. I'm a little bit confused on what kind of converter device I'm looking for, and was hoping that you could maybe link me to one or give me a specific name so I don't order the wrong thing. I'd greatly appreciate it!
Hi I am missing the white and the black speaker and a 5 port splitter. Will I still be able to use three speakers and if so how would I hook it up. Thank you for your assistance.
Remember guys you'll not get true 5.1 audio by following that setup RCA = 2 ch You'll ofcourse get sound from all the speakers, but it would be 2ch audio being remuxed(? whatever the term is) to 5.1
how can i get a real 5.1 effect.. does i need an adittional receiver or device?? or is it impossible to get dolby sorround with that kit with using on tv
mine didnt come with the splitter. and i can only get 2/5 of the speakers to play. I have the green cord plugged into the headphone slot in my laptop. what else should i do?
I have same speaker but I dont have audio ouputs on my hdtv, not even 3.5mm jack or out put jacks as shown in video but it has hdmi.. Please let me know how can I connect speaker to tv like that.....Thank u
Hi, Nick Can you help me please. I need 6 channel cable 3.5 mm for my Logitech 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System Z-680. How can I replace my broken one? Where can I buy the new one? Thanks, D.J.
Hi thanks for this video. I currently have the system hooked up to my toshiba tv but just with the black wire used from the headphone port on the TV. This is because I do not have the red/white audio output on my tv. I have a 'side av' a 'YPhPr' and a 'SPDIF coax.out' port but don't know what any of them mean. I have a ps4 connected as well as sky and a pc. At the moment only the two rear speekers and the sub are working. I would love to be able to run it fully 5.1. Is there any way to do this? Thanks. Joe.
Can get them all working on TV. I plug the grey bit in to TV headphone jack . To get all the speakers working seems impossible . Even if I plug the black grey etc in to adapter where do I then plug that . I can't really explain but seems impossible. In gonna take photo's then go in to a shop I know
Hi, there! Does that star-shaped adapter separate the 5.1 channels correctly? My X-530 did not come with that adapter, but a black square-shaped one with 3 P2 jacks (black, orange and green) to 2 RCA (white and red) plugs.
I think it's my main control speaker that isn't working right. I have had problems with it lately. But the splitter wasn't giving the best of quality unlike a game converter from Logitech.
Hi guys. This solution wont work. I have the same Surround Sound plugged in my TV over Digital Koax Out. I use an AD Decoder for real 5.1 surround sound. The Decoder is called "Ligawo SPDIF Audio Decoder 5.1/2.0". The decoder splitts the Koax Out from your TV to the three input cables from the logitech sound system (black, green and pink connector). Without a Decoder, you wont have real 5.1 surround sound system!
Sebastian D. I own the Logitech Z-5300e THX 5.1 surround sound system. I was wondering if you could steer me in the right direction for an Audio Decoder and (if any) additional items I may need which I can purchase off of eBay? I own a Seiki LC-32B56 T.V. and want to be able to get true 5.1 surround sound from my current system through my T.V. I currently have one of the three colour coded cords (the green 3.5mm jack) plugged into my headphone input on my T.V. which gets me sound, but not exactly what I want. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
I need to set up my Logitech 5.1 surround sound system to computer and am only getting 3 speakers to work. Can you tell me exactly where everything needs to be plugged into the computer please.
You saved me! I just win those speakers at a raffle and was sadden that I couldn't use them with my TV since that's were I stream my movies and games.. but now that I know that I just need that little white fidget spinner I can finally use them!
Yes, as long as you have the adapter shown in the video. Which is included with our X-530 systems at HDEtron.com. If you buy elsewhere it will not come with the adapter, so you will need to purchase the adapter seperately. We have a link to the X-530 system with adapter and just the adapter seperately in the video's description.
they are nit even loud i have va technika 390 W sorround and it is way wat louder than and it is 2.1 speakers and it is more more louder and i have z530 5.1 and it is not loud
Since this is a 5.1 surround system, the other 3 speakers will not play without the splitter as you are only in-putting stereo sound from your headphone jack. Unless you purchased it from us (HDEtron.com), it would not come with the splitter. The link to purchase the splitter is in this video's description. If you purchased it from us and the splitter was missing, please contact our customer service to have a splitter sent to you.

You need the splitter to get all 5 speakers to play when you are connecting to a stereo source like your laptop. A link to purchase the splitter is in the video description.
Sabes el nombre del adaptador blanco donde conectan los 3 plug que salen del Logitech y salen al TV y al celular???? Necesito uno de esos pero nosé si nombre
fortunattly i bought it from uk ebay for arroung 5€ so my last question is.. that if i connected everything like in this desciption described.. is it possible to get a real 5.1 effect by just using the whole system only on tv.. cause im sure that this sorround system was concepted for computers.. and big thanks to the publisher of this tutorial.. u helped me a lot
RUclips doesn't allow links, but if you go to Amazon and search for B0057UNPVO, it will bring up the correct adapter to receive true discrete 5.1 surround sound.
Got these hooked up to my TV and am very disappointed. Virtually no high,s, mids are good and way to much bass overall, very muddy sounding. Hooked up to blu ray player and same thing. The biggest flaw is the speaker cables, WAY too short to run rear speakers, wtf were Logitech thinking?
Shut up and take my money! lol I was gonna buy this off amazon but good thing i saw this because my laptop only has a headphone jack therefore i would not have gotten the true 5.1 sound.

Hello what is the name of the divice that has 6 channel.?
so plugging in the 3 (green, black and orange) jacks into the splitter, which is then plugged into the green headphone port on tv or laptop, will make all 5 speakers work.
isnt rca to 3.5mm female to female adapter a cheaper soloution to the logitech adapter that cost 8.99 wouldnt it work the same?
Please write back but how long is shipping and my order said it is free shipping and does it come with that white splitter thing

perfect just what iv been looking for, iv even got the same speakers in your vid. thx mate
so since i use hmdi for sound would this work? does it just use the headphone jack area? im confused, my system just used a simple aux port.

Nice video but how do you connect speakers to laptop computer
Yes, it can also connect to any device with a 3.5mm headphone style jack.

Hi I am missing the white and the black speaker and a 5 port splitter. Will I still be able to use three speakers and if so how would I hook it up. Thank you for your assistance.
is there a way to connect only two of those speakers directly to TV with some kind of adapter or sound card?
Remember guys you'll not get true 5.1 audio by following that setup
RCA = 2 ch

Will 2 y headphone splitter work
Doesn’t using a 5 point splitter just make the same sound come out of all speakers?
HDEtron has replacement parts too.
Will this work with any other types of 5.1 speakers?
Why did you buy a surround sound setup if you're only going to hook it up to the stereo output of the TV??
Hi, Nick
Can you help me please. I need 6 channel cable 3.5 mm for my Logitech 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System Z-680. How can I replace my broken one? Where can I buy the new one?
Thanks, D.J.
You can get the adapter on HDEtron. It's called the Rockstar adapter and it's only $7.99
Dear Sir, please advise Logitech X-530 is it possible to connect with Samsung TV UHD with HDMI Audio out or Digital Audio ? Thank you.
I have these hooked to my TV, How can I control the volume with my tv remote, right now I have to use the volume on the speaker
Because you have to get a sound card or a program that supports true 5.1 sound otherwise the same sound comes out of every speaker
It will work with any 5.1 speaker systems that are designed to plug into a computer's sound card via three standard 3.5mm "headphone style" plugs.
Thanks, thats was very helpful

y puede sacar el audio a 5.1 canales o solo hace que se escuchen todas las bocinas
Also the splitter will make all the stero work cause when i plug it in only 2 work
If you purchase the speakers from us it comes with the splitter. Otherwise it is available in the link in the video description.
i want to ask how this socket into tv? thank .

I orderred a six way splitter on amazon and it works fine for me. Wayyyyy bassy idk how to fix it
Hi there... hope you still around. I have the X 530 system and would like it to work from my laptop and also my iPad. Is this possible?
Use a logitech bluetooth adaptor.
I think it's my main control speaker that isn't working right. I have had problems with it lately. But the splitter wasn't giving the best of quality unlike a game converter from Logitech.
It will work with any "computer style" speakers with the three 3.5mm headphone jack style input cables.

I need to set up my Logitech 5.1 surround sound system to computer and am only getting 3 speakers to work. Can you tell me exactly where everything needs to be plugged into the computer please.
Your computer does not have a surround sound audio card
And also my TV doesn't have any audio out, just the regular RCA inputs and a headphone jack.
What if your t.v only has a left and right audio in????
will a 6 port splutter work
Yea, when you hook it up to the T.V. like that, you are only getting 2 channel sound.
Correct, all 5.1 speakers will work.
Can i connect this system without subwoofer on tv??
You saved me!
I just win those speakers at a raffle and was sadden that I couldn't use them with my TV since that's were I stream my movies and games.. but now that I know that I just need that little white fidget spinner I can finally use them!
The iPod is a 2-channel stereo sound source, so you will only have a simulated 5.1 experiance.
I'd also like to add that I really don't watch my TV that much, but I do want to have surround sound while playing Xbox 360.
will it work with my creative a520?
where can u purchase this?
mail me link?
it gives you only 2.1 sound, so what is the point ?
If it has a headphone style jack output, this adapter will work.
You need audio out on your TV to use external speakers.
Yes, as long as you have the adapter shown in the video. Which is included with our X-530 systems at HDEtron.com. does it give you a clear sound? i bought one but the audio quality was shitty??
You need the splitter to get all 5 speakers to play when you are connecting to a stereo source like your laptop. A link to purchase the splitter is in the video description.
