내가 제일 좋아하는 장면 효린이도 어렸고 꿈많았고 궁에만 갖혀살기 싫었겠지 근데 막상 청혼 거절하니 남주기는 싫고 자기가 궁에살긴싫고 솔직히 답없는 케이스기는 한데 이 장면나옴으로써 신이의 관심은 효린이가 아닌 채경이로 변했다는게 확실해진거지 효린이가 짜증나고 불쌍하지만 원작에서는 채경이동생이랑 잘되니까..
생략된 게 많은 듯... 원작에서는 채경이 쓰러진 것도 궁에 적응 못해서 거식증 직전까지 가고 상궁들이 신채경 몸 상한다고 난리난리 쳐서 탕약 갖다 바치고 중전인가 대왕대비 귀에도 들어가서 존나 걱정하고 몸 너무 말라서 거식증 기사까지 나고 그랬는데 다 생략되니까 진짜 채경이 쓰러지는 게 쇼하는 것 같잖아 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Have to say, in this episode, HR is a hare-brain. You don't create problems for someone you claim to love - knowing very well the paparazzi is always a shadow on Shin. She thinks She and Shin are compatible, however, Shin is beginning to realize how Chae Kyong's vibrant personality has opened up emotions in him that were never allowed to be revealed. Shin and HR are both boring and HR allows Shin to make all the decisions for her. Chae Kyung's personality is an eye-opener for Shin who was so closeted in his environment and strict upbringing to know how to express himself. Whereas Yool had the advantage of having lived in England where there's freedom of expression. Very sad for all parties concerned. Excellent acting though.
I love this drama because despite showing luxuries that are not representative in the reality of all people, the nuance of the characters is very realistic, so much so that you come to understand why they live as they do or why they do what they do. It is so well developed that you come to love a character who would play the role of "Villain" because they place very well the situation in which they live, the limitations they present, everything they have had to go through in their lives and this generates a feeling of perfect empathy with everyone. When I saw the drama again I could feel a connection with all the characters and I could understand the extreme of the poles, with Hyo Rin and with Chae Kyung 😢
Got to hand it to her. Chae Kyung, while being a bit naive, was still willing to give Hyo rin the benefit of the doubt and more importantly, handled the matter gracefully and delicately, even in her weak condition. I know a great many of us would probably try and smack the smug grin of Hyo rin's face the minute we saw her, and it would not have helped things either.
shin obviously knew that him and hyo rin are the reasons why she got sick. and basing to what hyo rin had said to him before at the bookstore, about her needing only him, he knew that she will still try to get back to him and he definitely had an idea what the two girls had talk about and what hyo rin had said to her.... shin not looking at her as if she's not there and only looking directly at his wife, is him showing to hyo rin that this is how it is going to be from now on... those days/years when she was the only woman he was looking for are now gone and she have to deal with it.
agree even in ThaiIand he just "for oId times' sake" did it for Hyo Rin, for me Shin never betrayed Chae Gyung he may not so showy but he respected Chae Gyung that's why it was so painfuI for him when Chae Gyung mentioned divorce on TV
Arlene Cruz ..from what we see...he enjoyed that time he was with her....there is no telling that he still cares for that dancer.....a two timer jerk,indeed!
It will be a great scene if Yool the one who took care of her. But shin looks really cool when he said "move" and walk away while carrying her.. So sweet
Shin indeed mentioned that while he suffered from broken heart, he became curious toward the princess all along. A really marvelous story, no violence ,only word war..
I don't think that he loved hyorin. He said that they have many similarities. So it's natural that they can understand each other. So he must have felt comfortable being with her like Chaekyung with Yul. But it is not love. They were not that close. If they spent more time together, they might have turned into a couple. But they didn't meet after the wedding so they had no time to build that kind of relationship.
