I don't think they should call them Ambient Lights anymore, it's more like a Club atmosphere.
I personally think it's too much, I would expect something more discrete and with a high-end feeling.
The LEDs placed under the dashboard reminds me of the early 2000's cheap tuning mania.

They actually were the first with such an ambient light
I think Mercedes uses too much ambient lighting and makes it look cheap. Funny thing though, I own the car in your profile pic, but my LC 500 is caviar black. The LC could use a little bit of ambient lighting imo, just not Mercedes levels of ambient lighting lol.

Brilliant review this time around. You have covered in depth functionality of those ambient lighting which the question of whether the brightness can be controlled has bothered me previously. I enjoyed this. You are now officially my cyber-friend.
With the headlights, for a Mercedes Benz, even though they are not adaptive, they don't seem to be bright or wide enough to give one a comfortable night drive, especially if you are going to be driving on the road that has faded lane markings. They wont perform well on a rainy day, so for that, I give them 5 out of 10 rating.

Cars in the same price range will do better, like Skoda Octavia, Mazda cx-3,5 and even a VW ID4 has better headlights

Getting mine today. Had a 2015 C class before this but the insides combined with the technology won me over. I think it will age a lot better than my previous one.

Good video. The interior lighting is very good and versatile. This car is full of tech...but notice your phone is plugged in with cable? Is there wireless charging?

@@roydemeo509 pretty steep that. Would expect it to be included in a tech packed car. Not a massive deal though. I've got a 2019 Golf GTI and that hasn't got wireless charging
@@jonnyfez indeed...picked up my glb yesterday and nearly all the goodies are hidden behind options. i made sure to get the premium package for the 10.25 inch dual screens + the ambient lighting.

The interior is very nice and not comparable to other small cars like the A3. And it’s still not the highest level. Such a shame this car isn’t really hyped

This is essentially Mercerdes’ version of the Honda Civic or a Toyota Corolla bc of their similarity in HP
Can u add the ambient lights ? As in buy it in the shop or something like that ? The shop that is foundable on the Appstore in Mercedes also, or Add it in the garage afterwards at Mercedes we have the A Class SportBack 2020 model

Wow that's a lot of lighting in the interior. My initial reaction is that it would be super distracting while driving, particularly on long drives, but hey I guess this sells cars right???

I love your night videos. I am not, however, impressed with the Mercedes. I was expecting to be impressed with the car, but it was not. You have reviewed better vehicles. The interior ambient lights seem more like an annoying toy to keep the kids entertained or the dance floor lights at bar. I look forward to your full review.
I was thinking the same...feels more like a showpiece rather than an experience enhancer...i feel like their more high end models have a little more modest but more enhancing lighting

Shame on MB for not using the amber section at the bottom for the turn signal and just flashing the brake light. Cannot sugarcoat how monumentally STUPID that is. All this money and they don't even give you a proper turn signal. Red turn signals need to die a painful death asap

only thing I love about it is the led lights and the interior at night, most def not worth paying the price tho when u can buy almost any other car and just buy some 40$ led strips and put dem it and perfectly look the same.
