Ahhh… so cute🥹 my shih tzu just left us about 2 months ago, when I heard you say “I love you” to Chubby I can’t control my tear cause I realise that I actually very seldom to say it to my dog although I love him so so much, only until his last day when I realise that I may have no chance to say it to him anymore then I kept saying it to let him know how much I love him, and feel so sad and sorry to him that he didn’t even have his own little bed for himself (but he slept on our bed) and also he didn’t have any brother or sister to have acompany him, he will be alone and can feel that he was lonely and sad whenever me and my family go out, I wish I can have chance to stay with him again… Happy for you and your boyfriend for having 2 cute babies 😍🥰 💗💗
so cute! it is normal for Chubby to ignore him at first. I have 2 dogs now, but the older one (Bai, has 7 years old now) ignored the younger (Nahia, 2 years old now) for a while and even he left the room or moved to the other side if Nahia lay down next to him. But with a little time, and the younger dog being the child of the family thus being more playful, was and is the one that tries to play with him, also being so little and having a big dog as a reference she never let his side, and after a few weeks (or couple months) Bai stopped ignoring her, and little by little he also started to play with her, they started to fall asleep next to each other... I think that you don't be afraid of putting them together, if there is no violent episodes, which your dogs seems to be the calmest and chilliest dogs ever, I think for Chubby to get used to is to just accept that there is a new dog in the house, and that can only happen if they are together. So...Chubby just needs to get used to the new brother he has ^^
