Searching for desert elephants...and lions (Namibia Part 2 of 3) - EP7

We go search for the desert elephants of Namibia in the Twyfelfontein and Palmwag areas. We were very lucky and found 2 separate herds of elephants in Twyfelfontein and Palmwag. We also found 2 desert lions in the Hoanib River. It has been on my bucket list for some time and it was extremely rewarding to find these rare and beautiful animals in the wild.

Hey Juba Love these..awesome videos..thanks so much for Sharing. We are coming from the USA for a 20 month overlanding journey and hard to put together a general route. Hard to tell what months you were in each of the counties. Can you summaries please?

Jan and Feb we did Kgalagadi, Feb/March Namibia, March/April Malawi, April/May we did Zambia and Botswana and May/June we did Kruger. Traveling in the summer can be hot and in most years very wet, we were lucky to have very little rain. This year some of the places are flooding due to heavy rain.

Hi David, for this trip we did not take a portable toilet. We have a spade and it is called dug. You dig a hole, do you business, burn the TP and cover the hole.
