I blame Pepsi for ruining MJ’s hair and ultimately his life. His dependency on pain meds started after they burned him. His curls were so beautiful just like him.
it's not exactly Pepsi's fault, it was an accident :B
@@gabrielaledezma2542 right
Actually they kept making Michael go closer to the explosion and kept making the explosions bigger. So it was there ignorance that caused the incident thus making him become addicted to pain meds which ultimately led to his death

Mike had the best jheri curl. Baby hair on fleek.
My favorite Michael Jackson hairstyle is his jheri curl from the Thriller era. His black tuxedo with the pink shirt and red bowtie from the Billie Jean music video immediately comes to mind, and so does his red jacket with the blue shirt from Beat It, and the red jacket with the red pants from the Thriller video.

He always had such beautiful hair. Also at 10:24 you can really see his vitiligo. It makes me so sad that people gave him so much backlash for that. If people really took the time to listen to him and ignore the tabloids I think a lot of things would’ve been easier for him. If any other celebrity had vitiligo the media wouldn’t tear them apart for it, but they loved to torment Michael
Sadly Mike was the first and most bullied celeb of all time. He was low hanging fruit because he was perceived as bizarre, weird, shy, non confrontational, eccentric, didn’t have a wife or gf, had an eclectic group of friends. It really is a shame how much bullying that man was put through. He gave us his all. His music, his heart, his money, his generosity. My wish is that he is at peace and flying high. Im sad he’s gone but Im glad I am 35 and old enough to have gotten to experience MJ because that was quite an experience. He is a once in a lifetime experience and there will never be another one like him, ever.

@Clinton Stewart He... has shown blotches there are literally pictures of it... Vitiligo may not have been the sole factor of him turning white, but it was the main reason. he had the best style and the best smile (literally tho, if u search it up it says that mj had the best smile 💖)
I loved his thriller look. He was at his most handsome.
I feel like that's where he should've stopped the surgeries
I always wondered what Michael would’ve looked like if he had embraced the natural look again during the 90s and 2000s but this time with locs . He could’ve styled it to have the same aesthetic as his curls. I love this episode by the way! Michael’s hair is one of my favorite things about him.
I think 2021 Mike with locs and twists would have been so dope. With his baby hairs slicked down lmao. Those baby hairs needed their own royalties lol
I wish so too. Or at least a lighter curl solution. But if course with the ambiguous changes he was going through, it would have looked off. The perms is what really killed it. But man, the access he could have had to some real' hairstylists today, his hair would be down his friggin back.
If you watch the Thriller video, That was Michael at his Most natural state.i think he may have had two nose jobs by then, but not so over the top. But it's rumored that his skin complexion needed to be covered with makeup. I usually have mixed feelings about His vitiligo claim, and to the extent of its Aggression to him. Because I believe he may have had blotches over his body. But Nothing like extreme cases of vitiligo like I've seen on some. I even have family members who have the disease, and it's taken 15 years or more to spread. Michael went from brown to almost white in 3 years. Many people including myself admired MJ, and wouldn't have cared about his vitiligo. That's why I believe it was more of a personal issue with him. We forget Michael grew up in the 60's and 70's, a pretty harsh time to be black in this Country. I think that affected him more than We know. But I will end with, "I'm glad to have lived to witness his Greatness". This World was a cruel place for him. May he Rest in Peace

Thriller Era with the Jherry Curl was the best. The longer and outgrow version in his Bad era was cool and wave naveous(?) Is something new. But his wigs after 1999 was not the best for him. I always wonder did it really change so much and his hair caught more damage? You can clearly see the glueline that he never got before the 2000, even better that he got back in 2009 to his Wave Naveous Hairstyle (doesnt matter if this was as well a wig) that looks more familiar and younger for him then the straight long hair that got him an older touch.

Right I want them to analyse his shoes next
Michaels hair from 1984-1987 was the best for me personally.
It really makes me sad how michael, a person with body dysmorphia could never win. Did a nose surgery? Breathing fail - rest got botched. Lost hair due to an accident? Tattooed his hairline - caused more hair loss. Tried fixing the burns several times? Never had the chance to fully heal due to his full schedule. Got vitiligo? The world hated him for that. The man really just could never win.
Add the Lupus into equation...never a break for MJ.
the versatility was legendary and was a TRENDSETTER, very beautiful looks.
Idk if I like otw, or thriller hair more, or history or bad/dangerous LIKE THEY ALL LOOK SO GOOD. Don’t forget during this is it when he was burning them curls back 😫
I woulda loved to see any of the Jackson's with locs. The closest we ever got was Janet's Poetic Justice braids and a photo of Michael's hair in loose plaits for his The Wiz wig. The whole family is gorgeous and never needed to change a thing about themselves...it just hurts that they don't think so....
There’s a pic of a teenage Janet, maybe 13-14 and she had cornrows. She is absolutely adorable.
I got to see Jan perform with her poetic justice braids in1993. It was amazing to see her dance with them
Everyone does plastic surgery nowadays
MJ did not willingly do too much plastic surgery. 2 cosmetic ones before he was diagnosed with lupus, as he always said. People with discoid lupus can't to cosmetic plastic surgeries, as it makes lupus more active. That's why his nose kept changing on the area of surgery, as lupus kept eating away his skin cells. And why he lost rest of his hair

@Clinton Stewart the only way to "cure" vitiligo (i.e. unify the skin tone) is to lift the remaining patches of melanin w medical treatments. once you get to a certain point, your skin is 90% white and there's no point to just keeping random patches (unless you want to). Also, there's tons of pictures of him where you can see patches of whiteness on his face and body. Vitiligo is a more newly-researched immune condition and it wasn't well known a few decades ago, so it made sense he would want to hide it. Yes, of course he was affected by external and internal racism. Everyone who's been an ethnic or racial minority has had that experience, and believe me it's a hard one to go through. But he stated his Blackness proudly through the years. No matter your opinion of him, doubting his pride in his race and culture is a low blow, especially when bringing in a medical condition as "evidence".
@Clinton Stewart You obviously never watched his documentaries. You'd understand why he got so white

MJ sure had some great hairstyles, despite the unfortunate Pepsi commercial accident that occurred in 1984. I’m curious as to how MJ would’ve styled his hair, if it never caught on fire, and they managed to successfully film it with no slip ups. I imagine that in an alternate reality, he would’ve grown out his jheri curls, since his hair was pretty nice just before the Pepsi commercial or 84 began filming. I don’t know, that’s just an idea I had, but I also imagine Mj would’ve had it trimmed or cut later on, especially in the 2000s, if this was to occur in an alternate reality. Either way, MJ was a strong man, but it’s sad that he suffered so much in his life

@@AC-mp7cx I do know he wore extensions to hide the bald spot as it was getting wider and started to go down the back of his head during the bad era

He was so perfect. It didn’t matter what his hair was. My personal favorites of his was the Thriller era with the 1984 Grammy’s hair and Bad era with the long shag in the back with wet curls in the front. Love his hair during the Dangerous era. 😍
Michael started wearing a curl in 1979… he used more than water to moisturize his hair. Back in the 80s, Jheri curls, wave nouveaus, curly perms, relaxers, texturizes and body waves all required extreme moisture to prevent damage and breakage. If he only used “water” to style his hair, his hair would have been dry, straw-like and damaged. He after his burn, he wore wigs and weaves. His weaves and wigs during the late 1980s and early 90s looked great.
He actually first experimented with curls around 1973-1974, he had a pressed n curled afro for a while then
