I appreciate this anime and think it's a bit underrated. The characters are amazing and I'm happy that there are so many different songs. There are some music anime (like fuuka) that play the same song over and over again and it gets kind of annoying. I really like Fuuka but repeating the same song so many times was exhausting and boring. In this anime, there is lots and lots of songs, and they usually aren't repeated. Some people may be turned off by the presence of Anzu (the female character), especially because there is no romance. However, I think that she is similar to the producer in Idolm@ster cinderella girls but a female version. She also seems to symbolize hope for the Trickster boys and quite frankly I think it is adorable. [Sidenote: I really like the Akatsuki members] Sorry I know my comment is long but I just wanted to talk about how much this show surprised me. I think more people need to give it a chance. I kinda don't like Anzu. She is just so dumb she rarely speaks even when everyone is so polite to her. I have just started the anime so hope she changes in future episodes.
I haven't finished the anime but... my problem with Anzu was only during the first 12 episodes, where she barely got a line or two in the episodes. After that she becomes a little bit more relevant, and she's also pretty cute (and pretty much a female self insert). I also have this problem that pretty much half of the cast are insane characters that are really obssesed with making weird lines or weird philosophies, and it gets a little bit annoying, especially when Leo was introduced. And the dialogue can be shitty at times, as well as the pacing... the pacing my gosh... WHY are all of the "Big Events" just nudged over... like, why do we skip the build-up after one episode of introducing the big event, the pacing goes way too fast.
let's be real, it's just a promotional anime they made based off a free mobile game, they probably didn't have a big budget. I think the constant "And just like that, the big day had finally arrived"s were a bit exhausted but for a short, simple anime it was really captivating and it did its job, it made me play the game
