I’m excited to find your channel, Dr. D. I have learned a lot from your other interviews on RUclips. Question- are any of you guys researching the use of healthy bacteria to get rid of actinos? Are there any strands that would be useful to add to our shampoo, body wash or house cleaning products? We are not having a lot of luck getting rid of actinos with the current protocol.
You have to deal with all sources of Water damage. There is mild data on Lactobacillus Acidophilus crowding out Actino and obviously a good safety profile...not published in human clinical trials :)
Agreed, worth every penny if it stays in a clean home...It's a text book and every time you use it, you'll make less mistakes...can save 1000's with reconstruction and avoiding mistakes like carpet on concrete slab.
and better for having less paper in your house...one in clean living I like my rare permitted paper books as I old school highlight and bend my pages etc....Librarian's nightmare!
Dr. D, I love you lots, but there are ways to have and use a swamp cooler that is just fine. I remediated my house for mold and there was none present in my swamp cooler. I never turn it on until the pads have completely dried from the previous day (and it gets into the 90s and 100s here before I even turn it on) and it gets turned off at night. Because of the fire danger where I live, swamp coolers are more often used than HVAC in the country. In fact, I've heard of more people having mold in their HVAC here. I'm sure there are some folks who either run theirs so much the pads never get dry and maybe they get away with it, or the unit wasn't installed correctly. Also, since you have to have open windows to run a swamp cooler, the air never gets too humid here. I love your videos and your presentation for the Carnivore Summit was one of the best presentations I've seen.
Thanks for the kudos!!! Your swamp cooler is a UNICORN!! lol....and yes poorly maintained HVAC are very problematic too....You sound like someone who is maintaining their home well....a true art...You are correct that a well maintained swamp cooler can work, but Wallemia starts cooking with humidity over 40%, Aspergillus pennicilloides and Versicolor >50%...so watch the humidity.
@@thevitalityhour1371 Thank you! I will be sure to watch out for that. I doubt the humidity ever gets higher than 25% here with the swamp cooler on, but I can get a meter that can measure that. Thank you so much!
I've bought your book and still cannot find an answer to my question. I moved into a house with a dirt basement (house built 1803). We used to have a vapor barrier down there but we got a leak in some plumbing so we pulled it up, took out any wet dirt and put down lime. Then we installed a commercial dehumidifier because we are aware that basement has high humidity. Now that we have the dehumidifer down there.....should we put the vapor barrier back?
John Banta can be reached though RestCon environmental and has very reasonable consulting fees. In our experience, yes the vapor barrier goes back (9 mm or thicker) but needs proper install and radon to be measured. 1803 homes are endlessly problematic , understanding the water table and water flow is critical; some house need french drains or sump pump to keep dry.
John Banta was one of the Sacramento mold professionals who assisted in the testing of the moldy schools that Holmes 1988 Chronic Fatigue Syndrome was coined to solve. But cannot reveal what he knows due to a confidentiality agreement with the schools. I told him that since he can't talk, he can simply point researchers at me. My story is in four of Dr Ritchie Shoemakers books and the entire CIRS world has seen it, yet to this very day, there has been no response. Not from any CFS researchers who have seen these books, nor from any mold experts.
@@thevitalityhour1371 I told John that all he has to do is point at the original CFS incident. If any doctor or researcher ever did that, we could explain it without requiring him to break his confidentiality agreement
Brutal, really sorry to hear this... make sure you're getting with someone who is in strict accordance with the Shoemaker protocol (no bait and switch on the science), CoLabs is a good resource for London/UK and Kristine is an up and coming inspector...the buildings are so concerning and overwhelming in the UK
@@thevitalityhour1371 oh lovey I’ll check that for sure…it’s kinda around 1 Doc certified inspector and similarly one doc in the medical front-rubber stamped albeit some close on the knowledge tree etc My spent doesn’t include properties where I’ve ended up reacting and just walking away throughout adulthood incurring heavy loses lol-and best in mind UK wealth and in particular more northern parts like me that wealth is fractions of fractions of say States. Test too yeh but just this last month I’ve had test fatigue lol as you can imagine Sorry I forget your name but lovely stuff Boss!! Thanks
The book he mentions is “Silent Spring.”
Please make this available on podcast form.
Currently working on getting the podcasts into Spotify, Apple Music etc.

Amazing 🙏
His paperback book is $65.00 on Amazon. A little hefty for the typical layperson already up against financial struggles dealing with Mold/CIRS.
You can get it for much less on Kindle. Totally worth it.

What is the best HEPA vacuum to use?
Meile is a good Vacuum. For even more intense industrial Vacuum Minuteman Lead Vacuum is great (very loud and intense)
Good Morning, can green gobbler be used is a garbage disposal ?
I think you meant "in" not "is"? Yes, Green Gobbler per John's recommendation can be
