- Sarah Richardson and The Design Inc Team have a challenge on her hands. Maury and Paula want to turn their empty room into a fabulous family room where everyone can socialise, watch TV and eat. However, this laid-back couple have no design preferences. They describe their desired style as “everything thrown in a blender”. Are the Design Inc Team able to design their dream family room? Or will the design result in a family feud?

Love seeing Tommy and Sarah together. He will be missed. Their energy has been dynamic and so much fun.
Ahhh lovely couple!! Oh and I hated that paper thing.............hope they change it.
I don't like it at all. It reminds me of a school room. All I can think of is the dust gathering on it.
I loathed the paper light fixtures, l thought they were joking with those 2 ceiling lights.
I HATED them too!
Way too much furniture. Hated that long banquet and light fixtures. BUT the clients were thrilled.
I AM SO GLAD to see this episode! I saw them reject a table in a different episode, & wondered about them... thank you ABODE for bringing it to us! WHAT a great surprise today😍... LOVE seeing Design Inc.! (Huge shout out to Abode!!! Thanks so much!🥰)
The paper “light fixtures” would have been vetoed by me. Totally crapped up a beautiful room, imho.
GLAM to the MAX!! I will never 'get' the point of a fake fireplace but when you have that sort of money to throw around I guess you get what you want! I am surprised by the TV over the mantle. Great episode!
That fabric with the open semi circles looks like handcuffs!
There is way too much furniture for that one space. The room looks like a bunch of beautiful pieces, minus the chandeliers, jammed together. The two different dining areas looks odd.
Great episode, great design and fun couple
Sarah is such a spirited woman, great fashion sense, nice to look at, is willing to get down and dirty lifting, vacuuming. I miss her shows in my region.
Liked everything except the light fixture. It comes across as cheap
I wonder if the "all gray everything" trend right now was a direct backsplash to this time period of "Gray is OUT!"
Grey everything was until the 2010’s. It’s mostly about warmth and colour.
I think that fashion, as I have observed same many times, follows Sarah's creative ideas.
Utterly delicious...
family room is SO the wrong term to describe this space. wanna-be Versailles is closer to the mark. cannot imagine relaxing in this space, it's all about the glitz. one thing I really did love was the mantel, that thing is gorgeous. everything else could go, but the mantel is a keeper.
Very nice Sara
Miss Sarah, I watched a episode you did at least 6 years ago. I'm trying to find it. You did a makeover that was based on winter ice looking, light blues and a white feather boua and Glas brick with lights in it? Can you please help me find this favorite episode.
What was the premise of the episode?
I miss Tommy and Sarah together. They don’t follow each other on Instagram anymore, and Tommy left Sarah Richardson Design to start his own firm called TOM.
I was under the impression that that Sarah had been supportive of Tommy creating his own firm, I hope it isn’t the end of a great friendship.
Is this referring to the present time?? 2022...I love them together. No matter what time!! 💥
I thought Tommy came back to Sarah’s team?
That is sad, Brandon, I wondered if a creative or friendship fracture was the reason why Sarah and Tommy no longer worked together. Thank you for filling us in.
I did notice that Sarah did not ever refer to Tommy as, "a friend", she described him as a colleague, or the like.
Don’t
Ike the banket or is it banquette, not something we would have in the UK ever. I thought his comments about the sparkle, from cushions to his wife rather cheesy. And yes grey went out of fashion over here also.
Poor Sarah needs sensible shoes!
Of course the design is beautiful, but it's way too formal. One drop of red wine . . . Different strokes for different folks.
What in God’s name is that bizarre ceiling light fixture? Yuck!
I thought this was supposed to be a family room. Looks awful.
What a sickly couple the clients are. The wife needs to buy some eyebrows.
😂
