At 8:55 he speaks of the 'wide angle lens' that is created via the process of turning towards the source of thought and experiencing that unbounded bliss consciousness. I don't understand how the two are related. I can appreciate saturating my consciousness with this current of awareness but I don't see how it broadens my horizon. I guess somehow 'taking back' this feeling while focusing on 'boundaries' adds some context that somehow enables a broader perspective?
Yes. I think you have got it. You could think of it like going out of town for the day.. when you come back to your familiar surroundings, you see things with a broader perspective. You are not so caught up in the small things that are going on. You experience unbounded awareness by going beyond the finest aspect of thinking. Then when your awareness comes back into the boundaries of specific thoughts, some of that expanded feeling remains.
