Yeah, it would be more realistic if you thought about what the water will go. From small mountain creeks that meet a larger river that ends in a lake. The water could continue down to the ocean and you could even create a canyon with meandering water that has cut down trough layers of the mountain.
You should perhaps make a little train station & a parkinglot in the space between the beach and the zoo, so guest for both things can use it. Then the gravel road could start in the end of the parkinglot or go from the station.
26 base plates!? 😮 something about seeing the rollercoasters, Disney castle, carousel, and Ferris wheel make me so happy. It adds so much life to the city. Can’t wait to see the final result! 🙌🏼
Your amusement park has always been inspired by your love of Disney. I've always thought it would be cool to have a custom Star wars section with the UCS millennium falcon, the Mos Eisley Cantina and other Star wars buildings as a section of your amusement park off to one side just like they have at Disney. Heck, throw in a Harry Potter section while you're at it.
2 Hiking trails would be cool coming from the countryside and one from the residential area. Some good story telling opportunities or color changes. Maybe 4x4 off-road trail too. Mountain lake.
Looks like you are totally on your way. Now that you expanded out the idea of the dirt road, California kinda has some of those areas that go from street to road and people dirt bike and such. The road is barely enough for a four wheeler and a bike to pass but it looks like a fun time against a mountain.
You could customize a pulp-culture cabin to look like the Beetlejuice house or the Edward Scissorhands house on the hill. Love the updates so far, keep up the good work!
Love the plan! I do think an airport at the back near the amusement park because you can have the runway going "out of frame" aka off the edge of the table, and possibly mount a plane or 2 on the back wall 🛬
Wouldn’t it be cool if all three arms of the creaks and rivers joined up into a big lake? Imagine all the storytelling with a lakeside cabin, tubing, maybe some cliff diving?
Had you thought about rotating the train yard 90 degrees. There’s plenty of space in the countryside to allow the trains to sit a little further along the table. Visually much nicer to see them parallel with the side of the table. Foreshore road could then run to the end of the port and that area would have better separation from the train yard. Gravel road could then start and run along the edge of the table in front of the train yard by the edge of the table.
I would so love to see a kind of walk-through of the city through the eyes of a minifig... I don't know if you could do something like that using a gopro on a little lego cart or something? Like the train camera you did a while ago... Or the view through the windows of the skyscraper or high building.
Hey Jordan! I remember in your old layout when you put the Eiffel Tower in the amusement park as an attraction then it was removed from the city. You could take it out of the display room and maybe put it back into the city for the amusement park in the new layout. It would look like a great attraction in the amusement park looking over the entire city from one spot
Something that might be cool would be a high train track going around the mountain tops to connect to the city and maybe a large train bridge with main train line going underneath it
An idea that could work for the transition from the standard roads to the gravel road in front of the Zoo, could be using the space in front of the zoo for a car park and at the edge have an exit that leads to the gravel road and you could also have it wider at the start for vehicles that service the train yard and then narrow to one track when entering the country side.
You are just thinking out loud. We love to hear your thoughts. The raised train track was out in because you didn’t have enough space , now that you do perhaps that track should be put in the …”when I run out of space bin “ for future bricksie . Tfs
The new City Downtown Tram has a design that feels like it would fit well on a raised line if you could motorise it. As you say though, that's a problem for future Bricksie!
Im loving this new layout. Only thing is the water coming down the winter village mountain and 2 streams coming down the big mountain dont seem to go anywhere. Needs to connect to somewhere. Like of it rain down the back of the train yard. Or even it came of the side of the tables. Wouĺd make a bt more sense. Just an idea. Cant wait for the next update. Xx
What about having the viking village in the country side as a museum? You can find that in Germany, for example. They would probably be located near the sea or a river, but well. You don´t have to be precise all the time.
Mountain & Roller Coaster = Big Thunder Mountain. Or build a part of the coaster in the mountain, so you can end the mountain, but with a nice flow into the amusment park.
With the gravel road you should make it switch back up the mountain, bridge over the river and waterfall and the switchback down into the small village. Rather than tunnels which seems like it would be unrealistic
Heya Jordan, It's looking better and better by the day. Keep it going. I loved the little cave you had in that mountain and with all the space underneath your new mountains you can detail that up as well. You can have so much creating an entire "Fall Out" type shelter system. You can create that around the space in the mountain where the access holes are in your table. On that note the holes are in some space a dark hole in the table. At one point you wont need to use them as much and they will be .. holes.. If you take a piece of wood the size of the hole (can be the wood you use now for the table but could be something lighter). Underneath it you can make brackets under the table where you will be able to slide a wooden beam (preferably two, even spaced to support the plate). On the top of that plate you can attach base plates with double sided tape. Thus you have the ability to build upon them and fill in those square empty spaces with light scenery. Underneath the plates you can also attach small wooden support feet so that when you need to access the hole you can first remove the beams and than lower the plate and put it safely on the ground. But whatever you do, it looks great and these suggestions people give is mostly based on.. I do not have the space for a city like that and would love to and I would do stuff like that. Stay happy stay stacking bricksie's!
In the UK we have an amusement park called Alton towers. It's set in a big valley and is an amazing park. Have a look at some pictures for some ideas for the elevation of the park 😁
Maybe Snow White's cottage should be over at the Medieval area as it is more a style suited to that time period. You can also build a country area there with creeks and mountains.
I think the area where the amusement park transitions into the mountain would be a good spot for a terrain coaster; a roller coaster which follows the lines of the terrain. Would mean you have to build a custom roller coaster though.
Don't let the rectangular/90 degree essence of Lego limit your imagination. The Brickin Panda has created this beautiful Italian styled lego town and I think when you let ho of the 90degree mils plate thinking youll be able to create a truly dynamic interesting city.
Good day bricksie just getting to watch today and was looking at your winter village it may be a good idea to start it before you build it on a mountain so you can see how the setup is so then you can adjust the country side to it besides building the country side and shrinking your winter village
Wondering if you could surround the Burrow with a wheat field to give it the appearance of seclusion. And then surround the Hocus Pocus House and Snow White Cottage with trees to kind of nestle them in a forest like setting. It could be done in such a way to save space but bring an isolation feel to them in the process. Always a cool thing to watch the progress with whatever direction you choose to go.
Hia Jordan! I’m loving the layout of the new city. I have a suggestion for ya that you might like. When building the mountain could you place the Snow Whites cottage about midway up the mountain? Then a little further up you could make a cave for the 7 dwarfs that goes into your mountain that could contain diamonds.
It’s really coming along! I had an idea… in most places there is a transition from striped roads to just pavement with no stripes and then to gravel. I was thinking you might make the road from the existing to the rail yard be the no striped pavement. Just a thought. 😊
Dirt road should start after the zoo, so you can still have the space for the parking lot. And the burrow should be up on the mountain, put the Sanderson house by the far
Your trainyard ladder, can be strait out instead as you now have. You only need to turn every turnout 180 deg. This way you ladder is strait en the curve wil go in the siding. You have les change of derailing. For sure your happy to do it now instead finding it out after noseplading
Looking good again. I like how this is coming together as the studs go down. When we're looking at the City, which direction is North? That'd make discussing plans easier. For that gravel road ... why not leverage the 'empty' space in the standing hole? Turn the gravel road into the hole before it gets to the train yard, then come out across the track a baseplate or two. Gives you a chance for some 'off grid' directions without eating up a ton of space, and gives the train yard room to breath and be adjusted for the paved road access. I'm picturing that as a tricky puzzle area.
I think the Ninjago mountain should be nearly twice as high in its final form. Maybe you've already thought about this, but gauging the height of most of your structures, they are nearly parallel to the foot of the mountain and doesn't quite achieve the 'grand scale'. Then even the raised train line could go through the mountain. You could also add a dirt road going up a partial area of the mountain and have a couple camping spots, one slightly above the next (think 'S' shaped). Just some ideas to consider. Love the progress!
you should make a "lake" surrounding one of the "holes" in the platform on the backside of the mountain -- the ski slope can be above it -- and then make the campground below it and to the side of the lake
I have a suggestion on what you could do with the train station in the Amusement Park. You could try modifying the bottom so to can handle both the Main Line & Theme Park Line. The only way to access the building itself is thru the Raised Train Line.
Great way you layed out the brown parts to get a ruff idea on the cuntry dirt road 😊 👍 an to show us. Than trying. To just point. This work s better 😊 👍
Hey Jordan! Loving more and more what you’re doing with your city!❤ May I submit a little suggestion?Put the shrimp shack near the beach for the love of surf ‘n turf!😉✌🏼 Keep on the good work man!👍🏼
Wouldn’t it make more sense to have the amusement park near the boat yard and the camp ground where the park is now? That way you have the beach zoo and park near each other you could also add a high rise hotel building in your downtown area
for your amusement park, make the train on the back go under, adding a bit of elevation and give yourself extra space. with the track under it will give you way to display, use some different kind of elevation and maybe make the amusement park more interesting to watch. not a lot of elevation just enough for the train to go under. it might just give you a edge for creativity in the park decoration and layout of each rides and attractions
Love the way your city is coming along. Just a thought. I think the observatory on top of the mountain with the airstrip and research station directly below it on the mountainside would look really cool. And it free up some of the countryside. For a pond, maybe?
Hi Bricksie. So glad to see all the plans forr thee development of the countryside and amusement park. So many ideas and alll will come true in Bricksieland.
Have you considered getting rid of the road in front of the zoo and just using the one closer to the beach for all of the countryside connectivity? I'd say that could open up more area for the zoo or something, and since the zoo is currently kinda rigidly boxed in between the two access points it might help it have a more dynamic-shaped front entrance that uses up some of that seemingly open space
This said, another thing I was thinking about for that area would have been a highway leading out of the city (reaching and going off the edge where some part of the trainyard is currently), then having junctions off it that lead down to the trainyard/country
It's so exciting to watch everything come to life! I was wondering if there's low point where the creeks meet between the two ends of the mountain range where you could have a lake, maybe by the campground? Thanks for sharing your creativity!!
Looking great, can't wait to see this continuing to develop! Not sure how concerned you are with realistic geography, you might not have noticed even, but all your rivers connect and go nowhere, where irl they would head to the sea. It would be really cool to see removable “plugs” for the access holes. Somethjng that could drop through the access holes and rest on the floor when you need to access the middle of the table
Idea for the second mountain. Combine a bunch of harry potter sets and make a moc whitespace academy of magic up on the mountain! Represent the Canadian school of magic!
Hey Bricksie! It would look very nice with a large lake in the countryside, where all the small creeks and meandering rivers end up in.
Yep, all that snowmelt needs to end up in a beautiful green/blue mountain lake.
@@imaudi4950 Exactly!
Yeah, it would be more realistic if you thought about what the water will go. From small mountain creeks that meet a larger river that ends in a lake. The water could continue down to the ocean and you could even create a canyon with meandering water that has cut down trough layers of the mountain.

Yeah, that makes more sense than having rivers coming from 3 different mountains that don't collect anywhere.
You should perhaps make a little train station & a parkinglot in the space between the beach and the zoo, so guest for both things can use it. Then the gravel road could start in the end of the parkinglot or go from the station.
Yes I keep saying this for ages now
Snow white’s cottage on the mountain with a mine for the dwarves underneath would be a fabulous Easter egg!
26 base plates!? 😮 something about seeing the rollercoasters, Disney castle, carousel, and Ferris wheel make me so happy. It adds so much life to the city. Can’t wait to see the final result! 🙌🏼
You could add a graveyard behind the Sanderson sisters house.
A mountain village high up on the mountain or a overgrown ruin would be so cool.
UCS Falcon are so big it would dominate half the table. 😅
You have the awesome x3 boutique hotel, time to build a lego motel near the beach!
You should make a frozen pond by the winter village with hockey on it and maybe ice fishing
How satisfying to have it all “baseplated”!
Love the LEGO beach section of the city
*Who loves watching Bricksie??!!*
Love having it more baseplated and the guides for the road and river really help visualise! Great work as always!
2 Hiking trails would be cool coming from the countryside and one from the residential area. Some good story telling opportunities or color changes. Maybe 4x4 off-road trail too. Mountain lake.
Will you add a large pond or lake to the country side? Be fun to see mini fig stories in a lake theme as well
I love seeing the draft ideas on the table! Great idea, it really helps to visualize your plan. Great video!
Looks like you are totally on your way. Now that you expanded out the idea of the dirt road, California kinda has some of those areas that go from street to road and people dirt bike and such. The road is barely enough for a four wheeler and a bike to pass but it looks like a fun time against a mountain.
Props for doing a rough draft visualization. You should do it more it seems to help you a lot!
Behind the Snow White house, you could add the mines the dwarves work in, and that could be seen in the sides of the access hole. Just an idea 👍
Wouldn’t it be cool if all three arms of the creaks and rivers joined up into a big lake? Imagine all the storytelling with a lakeside cabin, tubing, maybe some cliff diving?

would love to see elevation being used for the city aspect too. various levels like canals, bridges , train systems, hills etc.
I would so love to see a kind of walk-through of the city through the eyes of a minifig... I don't know if you could do something like that using a gopro on a little lego cart or something? You could consider putting the snow white set with the medieval theme....it seems to fit that them better and better for story telling too
Wow what a creative city you’ve built

I think a custom mountain coaster (like one you might find at a ski resort in the summer) could be a really cool addition to the amusement park!
For Snow White cottage since it will be close to the mountain you have to do a sword cave in the mountain where they would be mining like the movie!
Hia Jordan! I’m loving the layout of the new city. I have a suggestion for ya that you might like. When building the mountain could you place the Snow Whites cottage about midway up the mountain? Maybe swapping the country side around farm closer to train yard camp ground closer to the winter area, some cabins could be ski cabins
I think you can add in a grain silo near the farm and train tracks for transport to the city.
I would raise the gravel road with the elevation but leave the Trainline flat. You could then have a cool alpine bridge going over it.
If you aren't planning to do full length tunnels with lighting inside, you definitely should
Dirt road should start after the zoo, so you can still have the space for the parking lot. And the burrow should be up on the mountain, put the Sanderson house by the far
Your trainyard ladder, can be strait out instead as you now have.

You could build the mountain over the train track with some nice tunnels!
Maybe a Friday the 13th area in the pop culture part of the country side?

Great work . Impressive
The candy store promo would be a good addition to the amusement park!
Should add a water ride to the amusement park
To be honest, the gravel rode doesn’t look like gravel. I think there should be more grey for rocks and stuff. Great job with the city!
I enjoy these planning videos! It’s cool seeing what you have in store for your city!
Maybe put one of the castles up in the mountain near the park, add in some extra spooky vibes.
You could have other colours of trees and keep up the good work of just visualising things before finishing and detailing areas.
You should be the gravel roads grey so that they actually look like gravel instead of dirt.
💡idea: The raised platform could be used as a stop integrated in the mountain since the train will already go up in elevation there perhaps. 👍
I always look forward to your daily uploads love the content ❤
Looking great, can't wait to see this continuing to develop!
