Pretty dope update. The raised platform looks insane. Also removing that road was a good idea. About that bridge. You can make a work in progress bridge. A story, where they are building it with all these construction workers, some eating a sandwich or hot dog 🙂
The elevation you built today looks fantastic, have you ever thought about raising the entire front area? Raising it would make things a lot easier for you, which would make your bridges and perhaps access to the subway or something else easier. Love your videos Greetings from Germany
That's what I was thinking. If the entire city was raised, and possibly even the railroads, it would make the bridges look a lot better and the canal and even waterfronts would look like what you'd see in an actual city. It would take a lot of material but it would look fantastic I think.
I think would just block more of the back from that view don't think it's needed. Having one side raised makes it special. If it's all raised it makes it not as cool imo
Why not just raise everything by the six studs to the right of the canal all the way to the end of the table. Would make that section of downtown consistent and cool. Plus the added bonus making your train not angled at the front.
Exactly what I was thinking, raise everything either side of the canal so it has more depth, plus your bridges would look better and have more room underneath.. totally worth the work
What an awesome vlog this was. The canal’s water, the alignment, the shifting of buildings, and the plot thickness with Mrs. Bricksie estimates. It felt like a season finale. Nice work J.
The boutique hotel should overlook the park. So that the hotel isn’t looking at train tracks and the road. If I were a mini figure I’d be upset at that view I paid for.
Looks really good! You could make use of your dark blue trans plate in the canal instead of light blue if that’s the colour in short supply. That might help with the murky canal water look!
As a city that I stumbled on a few updates ago, I start to really love what you guys are doing here. It is also interesting to hear some of he behind the scenes things, like what pieces to order and how many, it adds some depth to the scale of the whole project. The canal is shaping up as a great feature. Having moved those roads to make them lineup much better is just logical. Making a bridge is hard enough, no need to try and make it on an angle. Thanks for the update, hopefully you can keep these coming as they are really fun.
Hi Bricksie. I really think that the development today is just what the City needed! The elevations, canal, walkway, and positioning of modulars is going to look awesome! Was great to see Jose at the Studio today. She really helps your business so much, and it was good to see her wound looking better. All the best for your next surgery Jose. Hope the Oilers win this game!
Hey there. Three small comments. 1) I love the work you’ve done on the city. It’s really beginning to look fantastic! (And the studio, too. Amazing work) 2) suggestion… what about putting bike lanes along canal, too. Would be nice to go for a ride along the water. (Just a suggestion… it’s your city. You keep doing what you want). 😊 3) (maybe the most important bit) LET’S GO OILERS!! 🧡💙🧡💙
I'm amazed the Lego Group haven't brought out sloped roadway, it literally seemed like the main advantage of moving away from the baseplate style. They could easily make them in the style of the old harbour road slopes.
The elevation looks great. The road re-configuration is a good idea. Really opens up a lot of options for neat scenes. I'd suggest making part of the pedestrian canal access go *over* the water supported by columns instead of a wall. maybe along the park side. then you can have more of a 'natural' shoreline with rocks and dirt. Monday night is going to be *nuts*.
Love to see the areas that got raised up. The arches add such a nice touch! Great shortcut & money-saver with the wood underneath. The only problem is now the lower areas look unfinished. It costs time & effort to "add height" even with your tricks, but the value is that you get more square footage (and cubic footage) of display area the more you raise the land above "sea level" so you're essentially making your display bigger & more dynamic with the same table square footage. The power of math! ~With love from Michigan.
Elevation!!! Great idea using the 'perfect' wood. Saves on parts for one. It just looks so much better for the sightlines for another. Rockin it Bricksie!
I really like the variation in elevation. Rarely is a city flat. It’s going to provide a lot of interest as you look over the area. Thanks for the glimpse into your design process. It’s good to see Josee and the kids.
A possible idea at the end of the new walkway by Central Park would be a canoe or paddle boat rental dock. That'd could be a neat park-adjacent activity and you could the end of the walkway area to make a little cove off the canal where the rental boats could sit, safely out of the way of the main canal.
Really digging the earthy plates in the canal. The elevations are looking cool. I love that new feature approach you have taken. Great update tonight. That Game 7 is going to be absolutely wild.
Over the last week or so you've accomplished alot on the city...the overpasses for the road, track, and walkway at the canal...the ship docking and trainyard started as well as now the canal...cant wait to see where this next week goes
This is so awesome bricksie. You need the classic Indiana Jones canal set to go in this. Your new city is so real so many stories so fantastic. Keep it up to the whole bricksie team. Thanks for all the hard work you all do.
Very nice to see the canal coming along and I'm also very happy to see you finally lined up the road on both sides, that had been bothering me for a while haha. Also credit to José helping you out so much right after her surgery, what a champ!
Would love to see some trees among the side walks, and and side walk lights among that and the board walk. Keep up the fun work. What a dream job to be able to work on this everyday.
Personally, i think you should move the gas station somewhere in the residential area. And in the residential area, switch the row houses with the house across the street from the Kwik-E-Mart.
You should create a cobblestone looking road for that walkway by the park. Then place some posts in thr front so cars can’t get through. I see it all the time in other cities too.
For the new road bridge, how about some kind of draw bridge type thing that can raise and lower. Might be a way to make use of some technic to look like steel beams. Great work so far, glad to see you going back into getting the city core into being organised. Couldn’t visualise the raised buildings for the canal but after seeing it all come together it is a great idea!
Love the progress! Maybe instead of the arches you could use a black piece as an ‘iron’ fence or brown pieces as a wooden rail around the canal. I think it would give the area a bit more contrast against all the grey from the elevation and the sidewalks…
Does he have a hockey stadium (stud-ium) in the city? And what would the Lego city hockey team be called? The WIn-i-figs? The Base-skates? The Brickheadz?
Its looking good, I would make the same type road bridge as it is a natural looking angle also the block of buildings between the sea and raised area I think need to be lifted 2 bricks to match the waterway style. You also have to figure out how the people can cross the waterway on foot other than the road bridges. Looking at the city from a geographical point of view your city could flood when ice melts on the higher mountain so they would have raised all the banks by 2 blocks that line the waterway to prevent this, also the elevation of the two sides looks odd.
You should have a Raised section of the lego city, Like a bunch of apartments on their side of a road that goes up hill, with a tram in the middle, That could be super cool and bring life to the city, It looks good but Seems so flat!
Every time I think "oh I dunno Bricksie" you hit it out of the park. That canal is a beauty, the elevation change is perfect. Keep it up you guys are sculpting a wonderful build.
The city is looking really great. The walkway next to central park would look awesome if you copied the mosaic from the Grand Emporium all the way up the street. That sort of thing is common in Europe and I think it would match the style of building on that street.
Bricksie love your content so wholesome it’s my feel good I look forward to on my everyday RUclips Home Screen, love you’ve been diving in to carpentry to I think you should look into a wood plainer I think it would be good to have now with the awesome warehouse of lego you created! Hats off sir we appreciate you!!!
Wasn’t a big fan of the mural for a while. I didn’t want to say anything because I don’t like posting negative comments. But. Seeing it in context with the Lego city, it’s grown on me. Looking awesome, sir. Keep it up.
Maybe you could move the smaller gas station into the residential area. From a planning perspective, spreading out your city services would be better rather than two right across from each other. Just an idea.
I think the only thing that's bothering me right now is the museum not lining up with that one street. Btw, where's the glass bridge for the Lego City Downtown?? Also, I think that small Octan gas station should be relocated near the front to avoid rivialy with the Corner Garage's gas station across the street.
You should definitely make it look like the canal is flowing into the ocean by mixing some of the ocean color tiles and the more earthy tiles p.s. I still think some lamp post on the board walk would look great
Some things that would me cool; 1. Maybe a small river from the canal to the forest. This so gou can make a build for the swamp Thiefes. That would be original and Nice. 2. Maybe you can make like a bird view camera angle for us so we can see the scale and places where everything is. 3. Last I think we would al want a video where you explain youre ideas I an realtime interesten in What you want to do. 4. A staircase at the right side of the canal so you can get up. You make awesome video’s so keep the work up you are being awesome And I hope miss bricksie Will have a succesful surgery for you and youre famlily
I think you should move the smaller octan gas station because its right next to the garage which also has a gas pump, you could maybe put it in the residential zone??
It's reassuring to hear that you're making the arched side barriers rather than the slopes. Definitely the right shout there. Day 60 of daily streak! Almost 2 months straight 🎉😊
Hello from Florida. I really enjoy watching your videos. Your city is looking great. I am a Tampa Bay, Lightning fan and I hope the Edmonton Oilers win the Stanley Cup this year

Same idea in my head
I was thinking the same thing

His city, but this sounds like an awesome idea

Yep, with all that space to make gradients, man he could really go crazy with all sorts of different cool elevations.
I agree!

The boutique hotel should overlook the park. So that the hotel isn’t looking at train tracks and the road. If I were a mini figure I’d be upset at that view I paid for.
For the walkway in front of corner garage, you could put the City food trucks there and have like a street food festival
Looks really good! You could make use of your dark blue trans plate in the canal instead of light blue if that’s the colour in short supply. That might help with the murky canal water look!
Watching from Australia
12:05 AM in the morning and bloody cold.
Loving the city
A fellow Aussie!!! G'day mate!!!
So also watching from Aus but now 6am and having breakfast, still cold, though Jordan's minus five months ago puts our idea of cold to shame.
Like the colors in the canal, nicely blended and the tones are great

Hope the next phase in Mrs. Bricksie's surgery goes well with a quick healing time.
Man, I swer I read "Mr." and I had to read it like 4 times to understand
Best wishes to her. That scar looks like it is healing nicely, hopefully the upcoming surgery will be succesful with a speedy recovery.
I'm amazed the Lego Group haven't brought out sloped roadway, it literally seemed like the main advantage of moving away from the baseplate style. They could easily make them in the style of the old harbour road slopes.
The raised sections look great. adjusting the roads a bit was Definitely the right call too.
The elevation looks great. The road re-configuration is a good idea. Really opens up a lot of options for neat scenes. Make the road next to the park a parking lot. Services the buildings, park, and canal.
Looks very cool. I look forward to watching the city progress.
Really digging the earthy plates in the canal. The elevations are looking cool. I love that new feature approach you have taken. Great update tonight. That Game 7 is going to be absolutely wild.
Make a sort of deck for the Parisian restaurant over the canal!! 😄😄😄😋😋😋 Love your content your city is amazing
Over the last week or so you've accomplished alot on the city...the overpasses for the road, track, and walkway at the canal...the ship docking and trainyard started as well as now the canal...cant wait to see where this next week goes
Here's my crazy idea, build portals on each side of the cannal for cars and people to zip thru ha ha love the raised sections
This is so awesome bricksie. You need the classic Indiana Jones canal set to go in this. Your new city is so real so many stories so fantastic. Keep it up to the whole bricksie team. Thanks for all the hard work you all do.
That canal looks fantastic!
Some steps up to the town hall would look good and expand the town hall with a basement section.
Very nice to see the canal coming along and I'm also very happy to see you finally lined up the road on both sides, that had been bothering me for a while haha.
Also credit to José helping you out so much right after her surgery, what a champ!
I’m seeing jogging paths like Central Park… could be cool use of awkward spaces between buildings and surrounding your park.
Hope Mrs. Bricksie continues to feel better with great surgical results ^_^
Loving these daily updates! Can't get enough of the beautiful city!
It's going to look amazing
I'd love to see you continue that mosaic tiling down the walkway towards the canal.
Keep up the good work bricksie 👍
Would love to see some trees among the side walks, and and side walk lights among that and the board walk. Keep up the fun work. What a dream job to be able to work on this everyday.
I love the corner garage across from the gas station! Looks great with the two 45* angles.
Love the earth colors you picked
A walkway bridge across the canal to the museum steps would be cool! The city looks awesome so far!
So glad to hear Mrs Bricksie is getting better!
Lots of room for easter eggs in that canal water! At least a bicycle.
My goodness this update looks amazing!
Love your ‘Dad Est 2022’ hat! So cute!
You’re making crazy progress on the city! Looks great!
Can't wait to see what you do with the mountain. I think it'll be smart to start laying it out and build off of it. City is looking great!
What about using duplex bricks as the foundation to create elevation? Only on the insides?
Personally, i think you should move the gas station somewhere in the residential area.
And in the residential area, switch the row houses with the house across the street from the Kwik-E-Mart.
You should create a cobblestone looking road for that walkway by the park. Then place some posts in thr front so cars can’t get through. I see it all the time in other cities too.

I’m loving the changes keep up the good work!
The 2 inverted slopes look pretty good, switching it up could be cool aswell. Great job on the canal man!
Thank you for lining up that road!!!!!!!
Love your latest modifications, way to go
I think the canal would benefit from a diagonal section OR maybe a cut-in at a park - a place where a gondola could pick up tourists.
Behind every Bricksie, there is an even greater Mrs. Bricksie! Love the elevation and the reshuffeling of the buildings!
Canucks fan here have been watching the whole series its soo good
Love the progress! Maybe instead of the arches you could use a black piece as an ‘iron’ fence or brown pieces as a wooden rail around the canal. I think it would give the area a bit more contrast against all the grey from the elevation and the sidewalks…
For the dead end road you could put temporary barriers and setup a farmer's market like on 104 street downtown on weekends.
Oilers Oilers. Let’s go
Does he have a hockey stadium (stud-ium) in the city? And what would the Lego city hockey team be called? The WIn-i-figs? The Base-skates? The Brickheadz?
Yeah I was going to say it'd be either. Really cool to use steps for the difference in elevation to the shops or like you were saying the slopes
Love the elevation differences 😊
Awesome the city is taking shape yay lets go.😊
I really like the pedestransation arround the park
Nice seeing josee back in the studio trans blue is my fave lego colour go oilers 🍕
You should have a mini-figure jumping from one side of the canal to the other!
Make a draw bridge like in Chicago for over the canal. That would be really cool
Suggestion for bridge, dutch bascule bridge. Would fit nicely in that part of the town.
Just my opinion, but I think just one loop of bike lanes would be plenty you have quite a bit of
I love your carnal..its going to look amazing when its all done! 🤓
You need to connect roads with a straight bridge over the canal. It would look so much better
Looks way better with those 2 roads lining up, that was bugging me as well :) Love watching this all progress!
What about a small stream going down the side of central park linking the canal with the water in the tranquil garden
Its looking good, I would make the same type road bridge as it is a natural looking angle also the block of buildings between the sea and raised area I think need to be lifted 2 bricks to match the waterway style. You could also make a pool or dog park at the hotel ❤
You should have a Raised section of the lego city, Like a bunch of apartments on their side of a road that goes up hill, with a tram in the middle, That could be super cool and bring life to the city, It looks good but Seems so flat!
Thanks! That road being offset was bugging me
It looks much better!!
Every time I think "oh I dunno Bricksie" you hit it out of the park. That canal is a beauty, the elevation change is perfect. Keep it up you guys are sculpting a wonderful build.

You gotta build Rodgers Place!
Canal looks awesome! Everything is coming together. Awesome work 🎉
Hi, just a suggestion.
Instead of the valet parking, what about tables and chairs, as if the hotel had a cafe on the ground floor?
Mrs Bricksie stole the new chair! 😂
Healthy competition with the two gas stations on opposite corners! Price wars!!!
How about paving that walkway and have a drink stand, hotdog stand, donut stand etc.
The lego store road should be a padestrian zone road! With other stores on the street, like a little outside mall yknow?
Maybe you could move the smaller gas station into the residential area. From a planning perspective, spreading out your city services would be better rather than two right across from each other. Just an idea.

Looks amazing with the raised sections, maybe nog a drawbridge ro mix it up? (You could make one that looks like it can open bu actually can't)
Am I the only one blown away by how much space is still left open? I’m excited to see what’s in store for Brickmonton
I think it'd be cool if you put an outdoor mall in your Lego city
It's reassuring to hear that you're making the arched side barriers rather than the slopes. Definitely the right shout there.
