Hi there! I'm PsychoJosh, AKA Cabbagepots, and I heard you were doing this episode of your podcast about me and my game. Thanks for your interest in GigaMaidens. Yes, it is a passion project of mine that I've been working on since 2011. I did reach out to you about this on twitter but I may have come off as a bit defensive so I apologize - I had assumed you were just going to slag me and my game off for an hour but you were more fair to me than I thought so I'm taking this time to reply to you in earnest. You probably read my blog since you describe a picture that I posted on it and nowhere else.
I'd like to clear a few things up.
    1. Kasha is not my "self insert" character, she is more of a cute comfort character that I plan on giving her own game series and am actively working on a number of smaller games with her that are more wholesome and E-for-everyone (although she is part of the same universe that GigaMaidens takes place in, and sometimes characters from GM appear in her games). Yes this is a universe with a number of different characters and stories and protagonists I've had in my head and not all of them are giantess-centered, although GigaMaidens is sort of a "main event" in this universe. Kasha is a catgirl from Purraya Province in the country of Tabbyoko where she lives with her guardian and older sister figure, Milchi, the big amazonian tiger woman you see in pictures with her. I see Kasha as sort of a mascot character for my studio or whatever game development business I end up making. Incidentally, regarding that Kasha model you mocked, I did manage to texture and stylize it a little bit, although it was mainly just for practice. I used what I learned from making it to make a second lowpoly PS1-style Kasha for an actual game project I'm working on with her. i.imgur.com/pjfs8Gf.png
    2. I did want to make a fighting game when I was a teenager, but it was not a giantess fighting game, it was a nonsense fighting game called Animosity where the sole idea was to have all the characters be as unique and outlandish as possible and I was trying hard to just make them all extremely unique, I had a character who was a living angel fountain statue, a character who was a dragon on rollerblades, a character who had 1930s black and white film grain filter on her at all times. In the end the only thing that survived from this concept was a goddess character named Mneme who I plan to use as a boss in GigaMaidens.
    3. It's funny you guys keep mentioning Skullgirls because I have been watching that game closely and trying to avoid the missteps they took over the years they've been out, and I've been working on GM since before Skullgirls even got its first trailer so I always did kinda see it as a rival although I shouldn't have because they got their game out and I'm still struggling to make mine. I resent that you think I don't have creative character designs though, I have some unique GigaMaidens you haven't seen that I think you'd probably like. I'll post about them on my blog eventually, I've been working on a big lore-filled entry since November 2023. Also, all-girl fighting games are a subgenre of fighting game, I don't see what's so surprising about me not having any males in GigaMaidens. Look up games like Vanguard Princess, Super Variable Geo, Arcana Heart. Skullgirls was originally going to be an all-girl fighter but added two playable males later. In my opinion they cheapen the game.
    4. The comparison to Pawperty Damage is false and not really fair because that's just a nothing sandbox game with a hotswappable character that can be anything you have a model for. GigaMaidens is a proper competitive game with combat design, different unique characters and fighting styles, winning/losing conditions and a story mode (if I can get enough money for it). I don't hate furries. I do find the furry community rather obnoxious sometimes but I don't really waste a lot of time thinking about them.
Regarding your opinion that I am transphobic: I have many reasons for the opinions I hold, and I stand by them, so I'm sorry about that but I don't let anyone police what I think about stuff. I am a right-leaning moderate and my opinions generally align with the right on a few hot topics (not all of them, but just ones that are important to me). But to be clear, I do not have any issue with LGB people, it's just the Ts I take issue with, and I will only say that I have my reasons. I will be polite, and I will indulge their identity as long they are polite to me. But that's only a courtesy I offer, not a mandatory thing.
I don't know if you read youtube comments but I could answer any questions you have if you like. I'm willing to go into like a skype or discord call with you if you want, or a chat. But in any case I just thought I'd leave this here to clear things up.
