A Zebec was a sometimes warship mainly trading vessel. Sail driven. There was a USS Champion during the American War of Independence which was a Xebec warship serving on the Delaware river. I had a look at their site and based on their about page I could see where they would come up with a trading vessel name for the company, being on the move. This could open up a few things; having different sizes on each side, 1 landscape and 1 portrait, only 1 extra without the cost of 2. Depending on how that mount gets impemented, some covers to hide unsued mounting points, or extend and adapt as needed. I know that would probably be nearly an entire product redevelopment though.
It would be cool to see the USB C ports be fully featured with passthrough, video in/out, charging, the whole 9 yards. That's something they could probably implement fairly easily as well.

Jay is 100% correct when he says intellectual property thieves stifle innovation. Amazon has been trying to crack down on this for 3 years now and has made some progress. However in the process resellers of authentic products also get inappropriately flagged. I’ve even seen cases where the IP thieves reported the IP owner as the knock-off and got their listing removed. Since Amazon seller support seems to be almost exclusively made up of bots and people who only follow a script, it can be very difficult to find a resolution to your issue even after explaining the issue in great detail and simplistically.
IP thieves hurt more that just the original product and often times has wide ranging ripple effects effecting completely unrelated products.

Xebec (ZEH-beck) is a type of rigging for sailing vessels, most commonly seen in the Mediterranean in the 1500's-1800's, with very pronounced overhangs of the bow and stern masts. So this setup with its overhang on both sides kind of looks like a Xebec under sail, name seems appropriate.

    Got one myself. Arrived today.
Positive: Well-packaged. Picture quality is nice. Sufficient screen adjustment parameters. High-quality cables.
Acceptable: Housing feels a little bit too flimsy and is a bit on the thicker side. Sliding mechanism requires more work.
Not acceptable: Lots of backlight bleeding into the lower left and right corners of the left screen (the right screen is ok) covering about 30% of the screen.
Confusing tech specs on the XEBEC website state the depth to be 1 inch. By itself the device is 2 inches thick. Since the laptop is placed within the adjustable frame, the effective depth is reduced, but still not 1 inch, more like an inch and a half.
Overall: initial excitement was followed by some amount of disappointed. It is, however, very useful to me, since I travel frequently and require a portable multi-screen setup. Would I buy it again? Not sure; probably, given the lack of high-quality alternatives. Is it worth 499 USD? Not really. My concern is how it will hold up over time. The next iteration will hopefully improve on the deficiencies listed above.
Hint: when you slide the monitors back in make sure to realign the screens completely with the housing. Otherwise, you will run into trouble sliding them back in fully with the hinge parts getting blocked.

I have 2 15” Asus ZenScreen monitors I carry in my laptop bag for as needed use when I’m out and about. Something like this may be a good alternative. My daily driver laptop is a 14” so the size might not be terrible. The 16:10 screen size is great because it would match the main display on the laptop. But like many others, I feel a 15” or 17” laptop would definitely need a larger version. Maybe design them as a portrait orientation so they wouldn’t have to double up when stored so it could be thinner would work.

Another option, if making the wing monitors larger proves too weighty/cumbersome, would be to use a portrait-landscape-portrait configuration, where the portrait panels are the same height as the center panel. that would also allow them to live next to each other behind the main panel when stored, rather than overlapping and making the whole kit thicker. Way, way back in the day, I had a beefy Lenovo laptop that had a single side-panel monitor that slid out in portrait mode, and it was quite handy.
