I know I went in with kind of low expectations and because it was so different from many other romances, I think those two things definitely enhanced my experience personally. Have you read Everyone in This Room will Someday be Dead? It’s Emily Austin’s (I think) debut. I liked it considerably more than Interesting Facts About Space. I thought IFAS was fine, but EITRWSBD was great.

This video series sis so much fun, I’m loving it! For some reason I was thinking there were only three so I was putting off watching because I didn’t want it to be over so I’m super glad I was way off! (I’ve seen you put up the bracket, and talk about the fantasy options in spin the bottle tbr, so I’m not sure why my brain thought this was the end??? 🤷🏼‍♀️ 😂)
Anyway, I’m even more intrigued to pick up The Husbands now!

I love this series!! WOW, LOVE those nails too!
I actually picked up Role Playing from the library when you picked it up on your book haul. I really liked the book! I would have loved to have seen one or two more scenes in the actual game scenes, too. I loved the cover art, but thought it was portrayed about 10-15 years younger than their actual ages. I also think they were a bit progressive for their age. I liked that it was a more realistic romance. I rated it a 4 and I would read the author again.

I just finished The Husbands like an hour ago on audio! The audiobook was fantastic - worked so well for the book - and overall I had a great time with it. I found it such a hilarious fun bizarre little book with a thread of depth throughout that made it that much better. So glad you also enjoyed!! 100% a divisive book

You can not mention a book that fells like an Emely Henry book and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and expect me to not pick it up imediately. Now it is your fault, that I stopp reading my 5 books on libby and just forget about the 36 on my TBR and jump straight into Husbands😅

💡 I personally didn’t like Role Playing at all, which was a surprise to me, because I literally met my husband in an MMO, so I thought this would be exactly my thing. But I found most of the characters two dimensional, like the extroverys being EXTROVERTED, and the haters being HATERS, it was almost comedic.
