That fox trotted that’s amber . I’ve been using that for John since the epilogue and use the panther saddle from the trapper, and dark brown tent and saddle bags. Changed its hair and tail to match in a dark fade to brown. And it truly looks so damn beautiful it’s crazy. I can’t stop taking pictures of me and it out in the most jaw dropping environment . This game truly is a masterpiece . I love it.
I reckoned the reason why Rockstar gave you a shire early on the game is because it’s somewhat slow-moderate pace (so newbie players could control it) and very brave and strong (So newbie players could have a decent combat scenario where the horse could take as much bullets as it can, also not throw away the player from getting scared by an animal) and also it’s pretty gothic black (which attracts players more) I can say this because this was first horse, I remember being in awe in how it looked and it’s high stature and I couldn’t bring myself to sell it, and had an amazing time with its performance. Rode him from the start and on the end, I remember almost tearing up when he died and then breaking down sobbing once Arthur died.
My three favorite horses for Arthur are Ace, the mahogany bay walker, Topthorn, the black shire, and Denali, the perlino andalusian. And of course Buell for John.
I had completed master hunter 6 with that horse. Each time the cougar came real close and it never bucked Arthur. I remember it bucked only once being spooked by a Grizzly bear. Only once and that's all.
Went to the snow got me that white Arabian. Never came close to losing a race. Can basically sprint across the map without a break. Yeah, it's a little out of the way, but if you walk it out of the mountain while feeding her, she'll get to level 3 bonding once the snow starts to disappear. It takes about 2 hours to get a level 4 Arabian, but it's so worth it.
Those horses are good choices for Arthur. (Well it also depends on the tastes of each player). I have played the game with almost all the races and I have done quite well with Suffolk Punch, Morgan, Belgian Draft among others. My favorite horses are draft horses, appaloosa, American paint horses (they look great with the boar skin saddle), nokota and mustangs. Great video as always friend! I am a new subscriber. Greetings from Mexico City.
I always steal Cerebus, the Braithwaits Brown competition Turkoman. But you cant get him until chpt3. So until then i swap back and forth between the silver dapple pinto Missouri fox trotter and the white arabian.
I used Amber Champagne MFT on my first play through when the game first came out but the St. Denis horse spawn outside of town before they patched it… Had the white Arabian but I don’t care for it the same reason I don’t care for the Tiger Mustang… looks like you are riding a big dog. It did not seem as skittish as the white Arabian but that was years ago so don’t really remember
I love the Dutch warm bloods as well as the mustangs and the andalusians in my opinion the Arabians the turkomans and the Missouri fox trotters come unglued at the worst possible times
I feel like you can't relly say the brindle Thoroughbred is the fastest horse, since 3 other horses (Including the missouri fox trotter you show in the video) are the same speed
Have had both the Gold and Silver Turkoman squat down on their rear haunches and refuse to go during intense gun battles so will never waste a stable space on either again. Thoroughbred will do it as well,
Nothing to do with the breed, your horse got parasites. ;) nah, its a glitch that happens, Ive heard anything from- switch weapons, hit the horse brake, or feed.
@@Grimm-14 Not really buying the glitch theory as it is simply like the slide stop and it has happened multiple times at different points in the breaking Micah out of jail mission during the escape and only with the Turkoman. Nice horses to just ride around or do the timed challenges on but can not trust them during battle. Only way I found to get them to go is to dismount them and remount but that can frequently lead to failed missions or death.
@@sojourningpilgrim2301That happens to both of my turkomans too! I thought it was just some weird bug or me doing something wrong with the horse, but they just slow down and stop. Then you have to pet them to get them going again. I use the gold turkoman now because I find her very pretty. I also have the silver dapple pinto mft and I love that one, might have to switch back to her.
@@ithewho6603 I agree they are pretty and good if you are just roaming around but avoid combat with them and you should be fine. They are so so around predators. Have had both of the MFT's and no issues with them. I typically use one of the Andalusian's for Arthur but even those are different from game to game.
@sojourningpilgrim2301 dunno, just what I read here n there after it happened to me alot with the Turkoman & MFT, but thats what I mostly rode. I'm aware it's the slide stop dip, & it's made me save alot 4 sure.
Such a shame stables only let you have 4 horses, I wish I could just save all of the rare coats 😔

If I could pick one cannon horse for Arthur, it would be the Dark Bay Andalusian👍
Current horse. It's actually a god tier horse imo all around stats exceptional health and bravery
No the white Arabian is
@@SKYHAWK-of7puthe Arabian is far too skittish.

The brindle thoroughbred is my absolute favorite. It’s a beauty and it’s fast and big so it still suits Arthur well
My Brindle Thoroughbred called Oreo is awesome🙂
the msot underrated horse is the free throurough bred you get in valentine
But it's so jittery. And a scaredy cat.
That name of the horse kage is from ghost of tsushima

Me personally, I love the Sorrel Suffolk Punch. I think it’s one of the more pretty larger horses in the game.
