The biggest issue with the quest 3 has been quality control. It took four units to get one without a dead pixel. While the units are built well quality control on an expensive product is a must.
I am a 56 yr old who just purchased my quest 3. I love this VR headset. The head strap I did have to change out. It got dirty quickly. I find i don't get motion sickness as quick as I did when I was in quest 2. It's a great investment. ❤❤
Thanks for this video, I'm quest 3 owner and happy overall, my only complain is the battery life especially with airlink or virtual desktop. Have a nice one!
Great job man! I’ve had my Q3 for a few weeks now myself and I pretty much agree with everything you said lol. I bought a 3D printed attachment on Etsy for my Bobo VR head-strap with the magnetic-battery packs that I had for my Q2, and now I use that on my Q3. I find that for the most part, the Bobo battery-pack keeps my headset-battery pretty well charged between 95% - 100% (running Virtual Desktop) and then it dies after about an hour(+). I bought another battery-pack for it as well so that should keep me pretty well going - but yea, this thing is more greedy for power than my local politicians 😎👍
My head strap is the Bobo VR S3 it’s the new one they came out for the quest with the fan on it the battery life is great and that strap is super comfortable
Did you overlay your face by any chance? At 19:05 feels like that's the case. And this would make sense since the 2nd part of the video is called "Disclaimer for Meta Quest 3 Review in German" but it's in English. And also the title screens that are written in German. Either way a great review!
There are several reviewers, that mentioned breaking of the Quest 3 face interfaces adjustment mechanism (for the glasses) after 2 weeks or so of usage. Is it so flimsy (looking at them, they don't look that robust and reliable -> plastic usually breaks quite easily in small mechanisms (when pressure is applied))? Will it "survive" for 2 or 3 years of normal usage? Also, quite a few people mentioned, that tracking above the head on Quest 3 is worse then on Quest 2 (because there are no rings on the Quest 3 controllers and the cameras that used to "look up" on the Quest 2 are "looking forward"). Is that a thing?
I'm pretty happy with my Quest 3. I pretty much only use it for PCVR for now. I got the BoboVR M3 strap for it, and I'm pretty happy with it (I don't depend on the batteries). The mic could use some anti-pop treatment, and it's in a really stupid place (the contacts for recharging, really?). The in-built headphones are surprisingly adequate. When looking at a solid white screen, the pixels look like a thin veil, which can be distracting. But otherwise I like the visual quality.
I love the Quest 3, Mind you my previous VR experience was with an old Oculus Go so it's not even close, Q3 is my first 6DOF headset. My only complaint is the battery life even with an elite battery strap it's not enough in virtual desktop and Running SteamVR games off my pc, I now use a 10,000mah 30w output Anker battery that keeps it going long enough to where I need to stop and take a break anyway, I do have a link cable but prefer wireless when possible.
I found out the mixed reality is not that clear.the room looks fuzzy still not very clear also noticed RUclips vr will only do 1080 resolution for 360 videos yet the quest 2 does 2k I don't get how the quest 2 works with a higher resolution.and why are the demos of mixed reality lovely and clear for advertising yet it's not true in reality.
The RUclips thing is a software thing, Google needs to update it not Meta (they probably don't even realize this problem exists since it's so specific)
@@horrorgaming1799 I have had it in back garden at 12 noon that's not a dark issue.yes it's a bit better in light areas but not like photo quality like the demos are showing on reviews.
The accent on this sounds slightly Australian to me, was this an intentional choice in the AI? This is quite amazing to be honest, which app did you use out of interest and how much was it?
Nice overview. I got a Quest 3 a few weeks ago as my first VR headset and I'm quite happy with it. I got a 3rd party silicone face covering to have something more cleanable than the stock fabric padding and it seems OK, though it isn't breathable itself, as you mentioned. BTW , what happened @19:05, your hand passed behind your face somehow? 😮
So… this video is translated by an AI… I never spoke a word in english… And the AI also is syncing my lips. So I guess in this case, my hand was not that „important“ 😂
I've had my Quest 3 for 3 weeks now and I have three MAJOR issues with it. Wow, three 3s, ha, ha, anyway... It's a great little headset, however, coming from the PS VR2, I found the screen pretty weak. Dark levels are atrocious. In darker parts of Half Life Alyx it's really distracting for example. On the flip side, the sharpness is spot on, love that compared to PS VR2. Next thing that bothers me is light bleed. I get a ton of it despite using a silicon cover, which helps somewhat, but the Q3 headset is quite small and does not cover area around the nose well at all. PS VR2 again is 100x better in this respect. And last but certainly not least is the battery life. How can it die even connected to the PC or the wall outlet via it's included charger? This baffles me. They need to drop the price of their battery elite strap to production cost because it's a MUST for any serious gaming session.
If light bleed really bothers you; it is possible to play in the dark using an infra red LED lamp. Obviously true darkness is more easily achieved at night time 😉
@@alanbarker2279 That's an interesting idea, I might give it a try. I have excellent shutters on the windows, so achieving decent darkens even in the middle of the day is quite doable for me.
Ps VR 2 isn't a fair comparison though at 650 for ps5 and another 750 for ps VR 2 and that's just for hardware any online also requires ps plus as well prices are in CAD where I live
@@claytonjacobs9687 that's a fair point, but still in terms of the headset design and ergonomics, Sony did a much better job, at least for me. But I get it, a certain price point had to be reached and some things had to give.
@@yan_dj Not mentioning something like the fact that this device discharges while connected to power seem pretty intentional. This is a deal breaker for me and I am sure would be for many other folks looking to use this for PCVR. I get 3 hours of play time unless I lower all the settings. This is while I am connected to the wall... Have purchased new power bricks and powered passthrough cables and am still having to stop playing to let this garbage charge. This dude is a shill or incompetent. I'm leaning towards shill.

Have you used neural networks to translate into English?)
Is anyone going to mention the change in accents? 😂

Audio syncing, voice quality, accent and movements make me think ai but I’m honestly not confident in that answer
