This came out great! Nice touch with the florencent addons. For the signs, you could try using photo/ vinyl sticker paper vs. normal printer paper, as it will limit the amount of bleed. You may just have to mess with the printer settings a bit to get the result you want. Cheers!
Thank you! Yes you’re absolutely right about the printer paper! I actually tried varnishing in a previous attempt and it turned really messy! I’ll have a look and see what else I can achieve with my printer! Hope you’re having a great day! 💖✨
I've watched a few of your videos now and I want to say that I LOVE your work and your commentary is fantastic! The only thing I keep seeing that throws me off is how shiny the varnished surfaces are at this scale. My assumption is that you are adding that as more of a protective layer, but it is so shiny once it dries it sort of makes all the surfaces look wet. Take this with a grain of salt, because I've never scratch built anything at 1:100 scale, but once your varnish is dry you could try sanding it down with sand paper starting with 300 grit to thin the varnish layer and then working your way up to a really high grit like 3,000 grit. Looking forward to your future videos regardless. Keep up the great work! :)
Thanks for your comment - This is a great tip and I’ll have to be more mindful of the surface finishes! I’ve been relying on varnish coats to mask any dried glue residue which can become painfully visible at this scale. I also love the feel of materials after they’ve been varnished. But you’ve highlighted something I hadn’t fully appreciated before and I’ll definitely take on board your suggestion in the future. Really appreciate your feedback! Thanks so much again! 😊💝❤️
I can imagine myself getting a vanilla milkshake there oh my word 🤯 the doors being functional as well!!
Thank you! 💖✨ I just realised I actually forgot to add a milkshake on the menu board! A detail I will have to revisit next time 😅
