This video just came in handy. I started the C8 on Thursday and everything seemed fine (no diagnostic emails or anything) and on today (Monday) the car gives me all kinds of alerts and eventually sent a ‘critically low battery’ email. So I had to figure out how to release the front trunk and with this information it took a little bit to find the loop but it is now charging. Now I just need to go over it again and figure out how to access the car with the dead battery. Your video was helpful so I will review it again and try the steps now that I have time.
Much, much easier than dealing with a dead battery in a Porsche. Porsche has the battery in the frunk, and it only opens electrically. (duh!) Good job Chevy. Good video.
Have also seen many C8 video's and yours have been concise and well presented. Great to have something Fresh for us "future" C8 owners (2021 most likely).. Possible items to add to your content list: Continue your feature shorts, DriveModes, DCT in traffic without burning the clutch, 4cylinderMode Noticiable, engaged only on downhills..etc, PDR as a general dash cam ?, Do you use the LIft a lot, worth while?, ONSTAR work, is it a subscription with ad ons? How to spot C1-C8 at first glance, even years.. (have your family experts give their views)? DO you notice steering, mag ride, differences between modes. HAHAHA .. just keep doing what you are doing!
I thank you for this as I just had a dead battery situation, but those panels are much harder to remove than your video indicates. The panels are sharp and you need to wear gloves because those clips are so tight and there are so many of them! The owner's manual is worthless to understand how the clips work and where they are located.
Awesome video i love the fact that you talking about things other than mods rims and wraps. I hope this isn't a dumb question, but can you play movies on the infotainment screen via the data recorder? Thanks
EXCEPT, Chevy in their infinite wisdom DID AWAY WITH THE REAR KEY LOCK CYLINDER on ALL 2023 and on Corvette models, which now requires DRILLING A 3” HOLE in the rear fascia if the electric solenoid ever fails. UNFKNREAL 😡🤬😡

Makes me miss the c7 even more. At least the battery in that was right under the carpet in the trunk. Thank you for the video!
