As someone who has recently taken the plunge into this game and is sticking exclusively to the Resistance & First Order factions, I'm excited to see what AMG have planned for the Sequel era!
Well this is obviously a lost cause now, but.... Even so, thinking about what they'd even do with it is tough. Both meaningful engagements in the first movie were in-atmosphere, which is not generally accounted for. You could fudge it, make it work, but even so those engagements also aren't really mechanically well explained or shown in great detail. Plus it's pretty much just X-Wings. Second movie... they do a miserably stupid bombing run and then run away from things until someone does a dramatic suicide attack. Nothing very worth creating a scenario for. Third movie, the final battle would be basically impossible to simulate, as it's a bunch of random civilian ships vs a bunch of massive star destroyers.
There was a trench run set up made by a fan. I think it ended up being converted for v2.0 X-Wing. With a couple of battlefield boxsets which include towers, you can make a full trench run. I wonder how much of that ended up here in the game.
I've made one myself, for 1.0. It was super fun. It involved first finding the exhaust port, than entering it while the emplacements were defending it. There was also a way to reduce the effectiveness of those guns, with sime scripted events. I had both sides complaining how the other side was OP.
Really useful video to watch before setting up the game. Thank you!!!! One question, Luke can only use force tokens to change a focus to a hit, but not a hit to a crit right?
Both of the official SW ship games look terrible to me, i hate all the bits of card tat, you want miniatures to dominate the play area not bits of card and paper. And the prices.........

I'm curious to see what they do for Scum, but love the idea of adding so much content in such a cheap package
Sequels…
Sequel scenario content will just be previously released supplements in a new box. Metaphor.

The FLAW in this scenario is that there's no time limit. THE REBEL BASE IS NEVER IN DANGER.
Thanks for the informative video!
Super helpful video thank you! Can Luke fire more than once at the port using Instinctive Aim?
No, only once.
Are these BoY standard load outs only to be used for the scenario, or can they be used in standard regular 2.5 games? Are they tournament legal ?
100% yes they are! Other kits put out by AMG have other SL's that are also legal for standard play. Such packs like the new Tie Bomber and YT-2400.
Does the game end after round 12, or it goes on past it?
“At the end of the ninth round, the Death Star commences primary ignition and the Imperial player wins.”

Not without an upgrade or ability.
One rule error in your otherwise great vid: You cannot spend 2 force tokens to change a focus die result to a critical hit.
At least not with the loadouts provided in the Battle of Yavin box.

I also watch video of the games I hate and leave comments under those videos.
I only know of the shortcomings FROM watching the videos, previously all i knew were the prices smart ass.@@ReconPaint
