The first couple of chapters of this book tore my heart apart and broke my soul 😢 (Hearing a tale of the culture being here on our planet. So close yet just a make-believe tale.) I so want to be there in the culture travelling and seeing and getting to know the minds and the people So sad to be born to soon If there is a higher technological machine sentient/biological civilisation watching us . For fucksake beam me up😂
The grass is always greener somewhere else. Don't sell yourself short or rather don't sell the here and now on earth short. There is a depth to be found here that transcends mere interesting novelty. Things that stir the hidden parts of the souls of men.
I’ve been to the park in Paris. I cried. Nowhere else has affected me like that. Even now, 22 years later, I feel it.

I've got to agree, it's awfully depressing someone would look at the world as it is and just choose to leave it that way.
This whole culture series is a remarkable achievement. I wish i had the opportunity to talk to IB when he was alive.
