I liked the video before. I also like to thank you, I became a virtual assistant. And thanks to you I have the tools that I couldn't do it without. I share all your videos, you've helped more people than you ever will meet.
Thanks. It's this part of your work I appreciate most. You keep me updated on tools and utilities; often leading me to resources I benefit from. It's a gift and I thank you, again. :)
Me too. Currently I am going through an update to my Mac and the new operating system upgrade tanked my old Adobe Programs. Pissed. It wants me to 'reinstall' but I don't have the disks anymore due to age. Be careful when you update as I did.
@@iLoveLeatherNYC Me too. Really going through it, trying to figure out how to do graphics now. I don't want to subscribe to Adobe because it seems like they'll own my files (maybe I'm wrong about that....), and I also expect their subscription fee to just keep climbing once they've 'got you.' I still use CS6, but also need a new Mac.....so I'm trying to figure out my best solution.
I feel Gravit should be higher on the list, especially if looking at vector design tools in the browser. While you need to pay for premium, there's ZERO ads on the side, unlike some listed here. I can't work in a tool with an ad taking up 1 6th of my workspace in browser. If looking at software, there's also Microsoft Expressions Designer 4. While no longer available for download from Microsoft (a shame), there are other websites hosting the file. It's toolset is very decent.
Although I'm getting frustrated in Gravit that an expected png doesn't have a transparent background. How to design digital media for other platforms with that limitation. Microsoft Expressions Designer 4 is good (no longer supported) freeware.
@@deany1980 You just need to make your page 0% opacity before exporting png. It''s next to the width and height when you click on the page. I like Gravit better than Inkscape. Gravit has a modern feel, Inkscape feels like something from the 90's. I just wish Gravit had warp features for text, Text on a path is very limiting.
@@homawccc I did find this a little while ago. I was so thrilled to see it's very easy to do. Gravit has many little tricks, in their own unique spot compared to something like Illustrator, but once found, very nice.
@Careful Icarus No, It's even easy for many things like working with gradients. The UI is bit tricky, but you'll easily get used to it. I learned Illustrator for months and had plans for using it for my use and when I found out about Inkscape, I instantly shifted to it and never looked back. There are many tutorials on RUclips, also Inkscape groups in reddit/facebook is very helpful and very active :)
Inkscape is absolute garbage - slow, complicated, and just try and uninstall - you have to go to add/remove programs in the control panel. Don't waste your time with it.
dude i use it all the time, as a complete idiot i can confirm it is user friendly and easy to use, it may be slow for you considering if you have a bad computer or laptop

Inkscape sounds like the place to start, but Affinity looks totally within budget too, once I've got a better setup to make proper use of it. Thanks!

Inkscape does not work with MacOS Big Sur v11.1. It crashes more than it works. Hopefully the app can be updated soon.
Does any of these have an auto vector function? Just want my char sheet a little more flawless then the hand drawing i made D:
Excellent. But what happen with GIMP?

Are there any Free Software for Logo Design Beginners ?
Thanks a lot. I would like to know some online courses site like Udemy in your future episodes.
Any free tool to convert images to vector?
Canva is pretty good too
Everything will be better as long as it's lifetime license
Affinity is free? I could have been using it this entire time?!! I'll have to check that out again.
Ohh, a free trial, then $50. That's what I thought.
Free trial then $50 one-time fee is better than annual subscription with Adobe. 👌
