It does not, but I use protocols from other speed training. It does come with a great chart to give you an idea of your potential speed range based on the amount of tension you have on the device.

Not sure I haven't seen or used the swingcaddy

correct.. or same thing as the "swing-rite" golf trainer.. both are less expensive than this thing.
