FYI. Foil is used to keep the product from drying out during the processing. If the product dries out it will stop lightening the hair. A plastic bag is actually better if you are coloring the entire unit. Foils are better for specific placement of bleach or color to keep the product only where you want it (highlights).
Thank you so much for this video. I have been trying to find out how long to leave the color on my synthetic ponytail using the same box hair color. I left it on for 1 hour and 45 minutes and it came out good. I was about to make the mistake of leaving the color on for only 20 minutes, because I was going by the box. Then I realized that synthetic hair takes longer to color than real hair. FYI: You can put the hair into a plastic bag instead of covering it was foil. Putting it into a plastic bag will work better to keep it from drying out.
@@wendymitchell968 Sure you can! I wasn't sure, so I did look it up. My first drawstring ponytail that I ordered, it was not the correct color for me. It was number 4 color, when I really wanted number 2 color. So I used box hair dye to darken it.👍
Hello. Love your video! I tried this but didn't see much change. Should I do it again? It is a almost black wig. It had been a burgundy wig. I dyed it dark brown. I want it light like yours. Please help. Thanks
Hey love thank you so much for watching my video. Sometimes the at home dye does not work because your wig can be a different hair texture then my wig. If the box dye didn’t take the first time it probably needs to bleach first to lift it. I’m not at all a licensed hairstylist. You want to look up a stylist who can color the wig for you. I hope this helps.
@@IAMQUEENMO Hi sweetie! Thank you so much for the information. You are right. I just was hoping I didn't have to bleach them. I've had compliments on the color so I think I'll leave it alone. Don't want more damage. You are so sweet. Thank you so much!
Hey love thanks so much for watching my video. There are a lot of video here on RUclips about the bleaching knots. I like the way @everythingeboni shows you how to bleach the knots check our some of her videos.
No, I have human hair and it did not take. I wrapped it in aluminium foil and everything and it did not take. I think I will have to use a bleach bath.

Thanks love 💕. I will try the plastic bag next time.
@@IAMQUEENMO does this work on a sew in
No I would not dye your bundles if they are already sewed in.
No wonder! My black wig barely turned brown because it dry out
In other videos, people have said they also use the foil to keep the heat in that the process generates, as well as to keep the wig wet.

I never knew synthetic hair could be dyed or bleached

Hey wow I did not know that Box dye can make dark hair so light. 😍
Thank you for watching ❤️

Thanks for the video. Other videos I've seen said not to lighten units. Why is this? Yours cam out perfect!
It depends on the hair and sometimes the texture. I have been told it’s easier to dye curly/wave hair instead of straight hair. Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
It’s BEAUTIFUL 🤩
Hi would it work if I wanted to dye midway and not full hair.
I think so
How can I lighten the track along a part
Very pretty...Thank you for sharing!
The foil is normally used to process the color faster
Thank you and beautiful color
Hi did you use two boxes of the dye or just one?
Yes 2 boxes
Gorgeous...wow!
Thank you 🙏🏾
What do you mean, "bleach the knots"? Is that the underside of the wig? And how to do you bleach the knots? I am confused.
Thankfully RUclips has hundreds of videos on bleaching the knots on human hair lace frontal/wigs…
Yes flip it inside out. Make sure it's thick sl it won't run to thr root.
Will it work wothout bleach
Is that wig natural or synthetic ?
It’s a full lace virgin human hair wig
Hey so were u applying the color while washing ?
No love I applied the color first and then washed it out.
Thanks family! Great video!
Thank you ❤️
You were saying something about bleaching after washing? Did you? What/ how? Does the box dye have ammonia or not?
Hi Love I was just saying I bleached the knots after I dyed the wig. I’m not sure about the box dye ingredients sorry
I used crime of nature honey blonde it didn’t do much just a little color 😔
I have not tried that brand yet. Thanks for watching ❤️
@@IAMQUEENMO sorry it’s cream of nature not crime 🤣
No worries I know what you meant ❤️
Very pretty
Sis, some of the footage could have been eliminated.. more than half of the 4-minute video is with you brushing the color in the hair .
How to bleach the knots?

This does not work at all. I retired it the freaking time and still I get not darn results.
it didn't work for me ughh ..
Not working for me either. Maybe I have bad bundles
@@empressrosetarot1717 if it didn’t then u hair is synthetic
@@ktl5961 I doubt it was that 😂

I used the two boxes and followed your directions and its still black. I let the color sit for an hour
This is why you should bleach the hair first lol This isn't considered to be "honey blonde".
I have synthetic wig. Can this work?
