- Dave loves a good Aprilia, he also loves race bikes. So McCrums Motorcycles sent him an Aprilia RS660 road bike to convert into race trim.
They did leave the number plate on it so Dave decided it should really get a road test, and then a track test too!
Does Dave like the little Aprilia? and what's it like compared to his Supertwin race bike? Only one way to find out, come join the ride.

Nice bike. But it wants to go fast..... too fast for the road. Great fun indeed. (That blipper 🥳) I almost bought one, but couldn't bring myself to part ways with my Tuono V4r. 🤷♂️

So Dave, how is the comparison of the RS660 vs the 748. I know lots of days between those 2 but still....
The RS is much easier to ride, thoroughly modern in comparison. The 748 feels like a bit more of an event, takes more effort but still great to ride. The RS is faster in the real world as it's much easier to access the performance
Hi - I’m prepping my RS for track. In Poland we have verry low dB limits on trackdays… how much noise does the akrapovic racing exhaust make? 🤣 for now I’m Leasing the standard exhaust, but considering it in the future
It easily passed our 105db tests but I didn't actually check what the noise level was, sorry

Will the TT’s 11krpm Rev limit effect these too much given they make peak power around 10900rpm?
I'm hoping they'll tweak the regs. If they let the mt07 bore throttle bodies it'd let them be more competitive too

I wonder what the 660 will make on a full after market exhaust with a tune 🤔 already at the high end of a super twin stock 👀
The Akra on this bike is the full system, with some tuning to the fuelling and some forced air it'd be late 90's I think
