    So amazing. Best Wavelet tutorial on youtube. I've been watching a lot of these introduction to wavelet videos here on youtube, and all of them jump directly into the math without giving an basic understanding of what's going on intuitively. Really appreciate this.

    I've been playing around with trying to understand wavelets on and off for years, but something was always slightly missing. This is one of the best lessons I've seen yet. I wish I had professors like this at Uni.

    The explanation is more intuitive since I had seen other videos. But this one integrates all of them or do i say this one is a summation of all of them. Nice Job Nathan. God bless you and your kids.

    I'm doing my final year project on predicting churn in a Software platform and needed to find a way to represent user usage patterns preserving both frequency and time information. This is the first piece of information i found that explains wavelet transforms in a clear way.

    My weekend will be sand and wavelets with a beer for Dr Kutz. Daubechies looks like a harmonic reflection but it is doubtful I will integrate this thought.

    A video about a method that can be used for data compression (compresn):
    We can see that data compression was used on the video.
    the black lines have very white lines around them, then slightly grey lines around them, then back to average, which is very slightly grey.
    Clipping.

    at ~ 18:50 would it not go up to sqrt(2) and -sqrt(2) bc we're trying to maintain the integral of the square of the function? Also, an amazing video and greatly appreciated!

    So after multiplying with the Mother Wavelet we still need to take the Fourier Transform of the answer to extract the frequency information,right? Just multiplying a signal with a Square Function doesn't transform it into any domain, does it?

    It seems like it's not super-important to have true compact support. Mexican Hat Wavelet doesn't really have compact support; it extends forever in both directions. PS great video - one of the very few understandable wavelet vids, thanks!
