This was our final day in Luang Prabang, and it was another excellent day. One of the best things to do in Luang Prabang is visit Kuang Si Waterfalls, a gorgeous jungle falls that cascades with sparkling turquoise water.
Before went to the waterfalls we first stopped for breakfast to eat Laos sandwiches, called khao gee.
Total price - 55,000 LAK ($6.61)
Kuang Si Waterfall - It’s a must visit when you’re in Luang Prabang, but our plan was to go as early as possible and beat the main crowd. And it worked. We had breakfast and continued on to the falls - it takes about 45 minutes or so to drive there. Kuang Si Waterfalls are absolutely spectacular, but they can get extremely busy in the afternoon.
Price - 20,000 LAK ($2.40) per person
Lunch at Laos goat restaurant - For lunch we wanted to try something a little different, and we asked out driver to take us to a goat restaurant. Goat is typically eaten in the evening in Laos, but this place happened to be open for lunch. We ordered some grilled goat and the highlight for both Joel and I was their goat bile soup - yes it looked and tasted a little like grass, but it was amazing.
Total price - 290,000 LAK ($34.87)
It was another fantastic day in Laos, enjoying the beauty of Luang Prabang.

Thank you for introducing Luang Prabang which is one of my most favorite city in SE Asia. You seem to really like Luang Prabang. You never did such long series for one small town before.
What I love the most about Luang Prabang is people and the pace of life there. Ladies drive motorbike so slowly that I can cross streets easily even when some of motorbikes are getting close to me.
Renting bicycle is the best way to explore the old town. Food is excellent, too. Someday, I hope I can visit there again. (I visited Luang Prabang in 2011)

Had an extremely difficult time here in the British Virgin Islands after Hurricane Irma. I sent my entire family away because we had no power, no water and no roof because of the storm. Without cable or satellite, I turned to the internet, specifically RUclips. this is the video that i'm waiting for: the majestic Kuang Si Waterfalls! as i said earlier, i am really looking forward to visit Luang Prabang in the future including this majestic waterfall. definitely, want to take lots of photos and have a dip in the refreshing water from the waterfall. there are many other fantastic waterfalls in the world such as at the Plitvice National Park in Croatia and Mae Ya Waterfall in Chiang Mai. if you go back to Lombok, you must try to swim at Senang Gile and Tiu Kelep Waterfalls in the foothills of mt. Rinjani (Senaru side). the water is also not only refreshing but very crystal clear and drinkable. if you go back to the goat restaurant in the evening period, try to ask the staffs to show you the making of the signature goat bile soup! next video tour in Luang Prabang: PAK OU CAVES!
