In this Copenhagen vlog, we did some sightseeing, walked around, ate some food, visiting CopenHill, and ended the day with some Mexican street tacos. #CopenHill #Copenhagen #Denmark
The Round Tower - 25 DKK ($3.70) - This is a landmark and historical monument of Copenhagen. It’s a great place to visit for a view of the city.
Hooked Nørrebro - For lunch we went to a place called Hooked, a laid back seafood restaurant serving mainly fast style fried seafood dishes like fish and chips and salmon burgers. Everything was fresh, a little greasy, but good. Total price - 375 DKK ($55.54)
CopenHill - Copenhagen - One of the highlights of this day in Copenhagen was visiting CopenHill, a newly opened and state of the art waste management system that doubles as a plastic ski slope. Amazing to see in person.
Christianshavn, Copenhagen - Next we took a walk over to Christianshavn one of the most artful neighborhoods of Copenhagen.
Hija de Sanchez - Finally, to end this day in Copenhagen, we went to Hija de Sanchez, where you’ll find properly delicious Mexican street food tacos. The tacos were excellent, and what stood out to me was the fresh tortillas. Total price - 100 DKK ($$14.81)

That recycled product used on the hill was very cool. I could see that used anywhere in the world. Fun to be had skiing even in summer. Very Cool

Mark I've watched you for years (from US) and my daughter and her boyfriend are both in Copenhagen on a study abroad. Her boyfriend is Mexican-American from Houston and I guided them to your video. They went for tacos today... I felt like a rock star with this find. Thank you and I will continue to enjoy your foodie travels! You're so kind, interesting and lovely to "hang out" with!

I left Copenhagen almost 9 years ago, and I've only been back in Denmark 4 times since then.

Skiing in Copenhagen like this should be on everyone’s bucketlist.
There´s actually a true story about a couple of americans that wanted to go downhill skiing in the nordics. Due to lacking geography skills they didn´t know which country to choose, so they drew lots and ended up in Denmark! One of the flattest countries in Europe! The tallest mountain is only 170 m! 😂

Not sure how I found you, but went back to DK in May this year first time in 50 year's ,loved reconnecting with my heritage.

I am an American expat who lives in Copenhagen, it’s really interesting seeing the city from your perspective. I have live here for 6 years and love it, but I do miss many things about America. Also my good friend Hector works in the Mexican restaurant you went to, I was trying to see if I could get a glimpse of him, but i do understand you not wanting to show their faces up close without their permission. I actually work just down from there at ønskerhallen for large private events.
What made you move to Denmark? I live in San Diego and would love to live for a few months out of the year in Denmark

Been there last year. Beautiful and clean country, the people are very nice too and most can speak English. Although their (traditional) food are quite expensive and taste so so, especially if you love your spices.

If you're still in Copenhagen you should definitely swing by Bowlmarket at Vesterbro, very close nearby Kødbyen - They serve the most delicious hot porridge and ice-cold acai bowls with all the toppings you can imagine in the world, definitely worth at try :-)! The round tower was the highest building in Denmark when it was constructed. It is actually a church tower with multipurpose functions. The church (Trinitatis) was at that time build to house the national archives in the attic - making it one of the longest church in Denmark (My wife can agree - we where married there).
On the top you have a star observatory (the oldest in Europe) - and Ole Rømer in that observatory found the speed of light.
As you can see there is no stairs, but a winding 'road' - The Zar PETER ALEXEWITZ drove in a horse carrige to the top Anno 1716
Just under the observation platform you have a flat, in old days it was for the scientists, then it became for the chaplan and when I was having my confirmation, I was going to 'church' school in that flat
If you ever visit Copenhagen - go to this church/tower - it is amazing

Ergin Sahin I absolutely love different foods. I would be the same. If asked what my favorite foods are...sounds kinda like this...seafood, Thai, Mexican, Polish, Soul, Middle Eastern,.. I could go on forever. So. I can see why he does it
@@a.h.6731 of course there are lots of great different foods, but come on, everytime he taste some food, mmmmmmm mmmmmmm mmmmmmm.. :) i travelled 45 times in the last 10 years, but there will always be some ordinary / boring / bad food..

I was hoping you’d go to Hija de Sánchez and you did! It’s the primary reason I want to go to Copenhagen 😂 bc it’s hard to find good Mexican food in Europe, and I miss it so much ❤️🌺
