  • Removal of stock pipe with unboxing and installation of new FMF 4.1 Titanium/Carbon Fiber Pipe in Blue on my 2017 Husqvarna FE350. Used a free audio meter app to give some base line levels and sound levels after the install. Hope this helps anyone installing this pipe. I've watched a lot of videos with it already installed and decided to show the easy steps of the install on this bike. Sounds so much better and pulls pretty hard now! Love it!!

    Hello, I come from France and I have the same on my 350 Fe 2017 and my new 250 Fe 2019. I have done modified my ECU the next week for to get the best engine.
    Thanks for this video, well done guy!

      bryman 86 they’re nice and compact but don’t provide too much visibility. I always check over the shoulder when lane changing or whatever but I really do minimal street riding. Basically I’ll ride 10-15 miles max to get to a trail. Any further I’ll load it up in the truck and haul her around.

      HKstrongside Appreciate the comment. Keep in mind it will open the bike up more and the bike will run lean. So definitely need to compensate for that. I did mine the expensive way (Vortex ECU) but there are other alternative methods.

      HKstrongside tokyomods.com/shop/product-category/vortex/?v=7516fd43adaa here’s a link to where I got mine. Just input your bike info. The other way to increase your fuel mixture is via the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor).

      Robert Burns thanks for checking it out! It definitely makes the bike more streamline. It’s is the Sicass Racing twilight kit for ‘17-‘19 FE bikes. Then I also purchased the smoked flush mount signals as well to eliminate the post style signals. All from the same site.

    I work at a tire shop and some guy in a dually 1 ton 2nd gen Cummins rolls up and I noticed his exhaust tip wasn't mbrp or anything fancy but rather a buffed our stock pipe with an FMF 4.1 RCT sticker 🤣

    Never saw a husky bike around here in Canada in the past 30 years, I heard they're very expensive that's probably why, I ride Honda , KTM is popular here though

      COD ProCamp Husqvarna was bought out by KTM. They’re basically the same bike with different plastics and swing arm attachment. But, yes, Husqvarna and KTM are the highest price bikes in the game. Can’t go wrong with Honda! I have 3! Ha ha

    Did you open up the airbox and the ecu??

    • @hazmatt81
      @hazmatt81  5 лет назад

      Denver Hynds I have not done the air box yet. At the time of this video I already had installed the Vortex Ignition. My buddy had bought this same exhaust and installed it without any ECU mod and his bike backfired like crazy. Definitely was running way lean so before I even thought about the pipe I made sure I had the Ignition first.

    I have a 19 Fe 350 with the stock silencer and I hate it. It sounds like a scooter, it's hard to tell in videos is it worth it power and sound wise. I don't wanna spend 400 bucks if it's just about the same thanks.

      Mike Hebron Hey there Mike, I really like the addition of this pipe to my bike for power, sound and looks. However if the price point is what’s keeping you from going this particular route, I’ve seen a couple guys simply changing the end cap of the stock pipe out for added exhaust flow and a little louder sound. And to complete the trifecta also allow more intake airflow by removing the stock reeds between the airbox and throttle body and inserting the aftermarket boot in there. With all that newly found airflow, you’ll then need to increase fuel flow to balance out your ratio as it will be running lean at this point. Here to have 2 options. The $700 Vortex ECU or the $35 TPS adjustment wire harness that allows you to read voltage of your Thottle Position Sensor and rotate the body to get more voltage which in turn adds more fuel to richen it up. Check out this guy’s video of these things and see if maybe you want to try that route. His is done on a KTM, but exactly the same. Thanks for checking out my video. Hope this answers your question. ruclips.net/video/PrRD7-hNToc/видео.html

      Mike Hebron here’s a guy that added a “Power Bundle Kit” from An aftermarket manufacturer. Check this out and this might be what your wanting. Way cheaper than a FMF pipe and Vortex ECU. Good luck! ruclips.net/video/5ltR1y8uebM/видео.html

      @@hazmatt81 Thank you and the price isn't the killer for me just wanted to ask someone who has my model if it really made a difference. I've always rode yz250 smokers and always ran fmf. I will be buying the 4.1 here soon thanks again.

      Mike Hebron Gotcha, well just a FYI my buddy slapped one on his identical ‘17 FE350 and only the pipe and he is running lean. Sounds great, except for all the backfiring 😣. Just gotta get that fuel mixture corrected once you do get one.

    What tires are u running in this video? DOT

    • @hazmatt81
      @hazmatt81  3 года назад +1

      Michelin Starcross 5 Tires. They are NOT DOT rated. But actually just bought a MotOZ DOT I/T tire for the rear since I’ve wore out the rear since this video was made. The Michelin was a great tire but of course only really for dirt. I hated the DOT stock tires this bike came with. But I’m anxious to get this MotOZ tire on the rear and see how much different it rides both on the road and dirt. I’ll probably have to make a review video regarding the new tire.

      Yutthapong Andorn If you’re referring to the sound decibel level app, it was just the first free one I could download non the App Store. Nothing fancy, just something to get a baseline reading and see how much of a DB gain it had once installed.
