Monster Training Day - Cycling In Tenerife

- This was a hard ride with 12,000ft of climbing over 101 miles and a moving time of 6.46. The amazing scenery made up for the leg zapping hill climbs. I'm here for two weeks to escape the endless rain in the UK and a big volume block of training. Have you ever been to Tenerife and accidently cycled up to Teidie by mistake LOL?

Have you cycled in Tenerife? What was you best ride?
Brilliant video Simon. it really made me nostalgic for all the trips I have done here. You are 100% right that you need to respect the place. sometimes you are in the middle of nowhere for long periods of time. Keep the great work up.
Thank you. It’s a great place to 🚴♂️💨
Long climb. One handed as well. Respect.
Spectacular climbing! Inspiring to say the least. Thank you for sharing your experience as well as the amazing views. ❤
Thank you. 😎
Wow, that is some serious climbing! Thank you for sharing and for the inspiration. 🚴♂️
Thank you. 😎
Nice video, well done. Can’t wait for the spring/summer 👍🏻
Have fun. 🚴♂️💨
Awesome scenery, really enjoyed the content.
Thank you. 😎
Interesting video. Just spent a few days in Lanzarote has good mix of hills and flat. Off to Tenerife at Easter and wondering now if it’s all just up or down and needing some serious training to make it enjoyable.
It’s pretty much all up and down.
Super Jealous. What gear ratios are you running. Normally I would run 52/36 11-30 which I can do for climbing at 83kgs but was considering 54/40 11-34
I run 50/34 11/34 so good for big climbs.
@@veloperformancegreat thanks. Might be a good shout to be honest for the 312
You wont regret that choice @@SAnderson77
Also low 80s and swapped 11-30 for 11-34 recently, much more flexibility I find, can keep the watts in whatever range I want on climbs without dropping the cadence way too much. 52-36 on the front.
