I have the Milan and the one thing that I turned up via the App were the voices and I noticed that made diagloue much easier to understand especially with amount of different character voices there are in media.
Ha ha, I’m watching this video with my arms crossed like a lot of people do when they have to spend money on something so I glossed over that intro. Saw your comment, rewatched the intro, and laughed! My arms are uncrossed a bit, too!
Great video review of the new Platin Milan, WiSA Certified speaker system. Thanks! Enjoyed how your shared more on the WiSA wireless offering and what these new Platin Milan surround sound, immersive audio speakers provide you. Thanks!
Ahhh man..another great informative video that's well edited, flows nicely and just easy to understand and full of entertainingly sound tech knowledge. Thanks for that. I have been considering the Monaca 5.1 with WiSA ever since your last video and I'm pretty much sold. But I do have two questions and would appreciate your input. 1st: in my medium to small living room I have a 55in tv with the Vizio 5.1.2 soundbar.( which I actually liked by the way) but I'm looking to upgrade to the Vizio 5.1.4 soundbar($599. at bestbuy) I remember you say in your review video that the rear Atoms satellite speakers are not good or put out bad sound. Is this still true and do you still recomend? 2nd: I just finished my basement just about the same size as my living room and I'm going to have a 65in TV and wanted to use the Monaco 5.1 I was curious can you purchase more speakers to put in the ceiling for Atmos speakers and how does the WiSA determine what speaker are dedicated Atmos signals? Wow that was wordy..sorry. please and thank you.
Thanks, man! I honestly don’t think it’s gonna be that much of a difference between the Vizio 5.1.2 and 5.1.4...at least to justify spending another $599 just to add 2 more Atmos channels. If you like the 5.1.2, just stick with it and save your money. And yes! In the description of the this video, I have a link to purchase a pair of Milan or Monaco satellite speakers by themselves, so that way you can get a 5.1.2 system going in your basement. And you determine which speakers do what in the SoundSend app. Pretty cool!
cant wait to play call of duty on the milan ! thanks for the info ! so much easyer the complicate av receiver setup and tuning , i have pioneer av receiver and 4.0 setup ! its very good to play call of duty on the pioneer ceceiver but so complicated to setup and so many tweeks and tuned i dont understand on the vsx 528 pioneer , crossover , channels ,hml ,to much terms i dont understand on the pioneer !too much mdes that sound horrible on the pioneer; auto surround , dts , stereo alc , sounds the best on call of duty and pubg !
I think they should just compress the audio to allow for a full 5.1.4 setup Of course then you would probably be out of power outlets which is kind of a problem with the wisa setup.
So Monaco is better in your opinion? At the end you say the big brother and how sturdy the compartments are. With such a long and well made review you could have edited out the lights going out comment to include your final choice.
If you want full Dolby Atmos output on LG TV you will need their SoundSend version. It’s the same but you won’t use the TV Wisa connection in menu, (or a dongle for other TV’s), just connect your HDMI to eArc or Arc port and select audio Bypass in advanced sound settings. The final setup with the Wisa App is straightforward thereafter…
is there any transmitter that can support any bluetooth speaker, not only wisa certified?? that way we could make portable home theatre with just 5 bt speakers and one subwoofer
No, not yet. At least a universal transmitter that could connect to a variety of BT speakers, no. But most soundbars are BT compatible like the Klipsch Cinema 600 5.1, Samsung Q950t, Polk React 5.1 soundbar system, Enclave CineHome II, so that way you can steam music through them too, not just listen to movies and TV shows. 🙌
on prime day deals, Milan 5.1 is available for 699. I'm a bit confused between this one and Samsung - HW-Q850A 5.1.2ch Sound bar. Purely on surround sound effects, which one would be your take?
Well, I’d probably go for the Samsung. It has Atmos upward-firing drivers and also can be connected to wifi for easy music streaming, etc. And it’s a really good deal. Just my 2 cents. 😀
@@ealanosborne thanks for the quick reply. Hw q850 is available for 750 @ best buy with a 250 gv. So 500 on effect. My tv is samsung tu700 series 82" which supports only dolby digital plus. Do u think using infinity flex streaming device or fire cube can make use of the atmos upfiring speakers on the q850? Any suggestions ?
@@hari6805 Oh… that does make a difference, if your TV itself is not Atmos compatible. If you plug something directly into the Samsung soundbar - like an XBOX or 4K blu-ray player - then yes, it will decode Atmos. But if you use the apps directly from your smart TV - Netflix, Hulu etc - then no…that won’t be Atmos since it’s your TV is doing the decoding in that case. So the Milan won’t do Atmos at all in your case, since the SoundSend plugs into the TV directly via HDMI. But the Samsung at least has 1 hdmi input, so whatever you plug directly into it could reproduce Atmos. Make sense?
@@ealanosborne makes perfect sense. I'm going for the q850 😇. Last question, do you know xinfinity flex 4k device or fire tv cube can decode atmos so that I can connect those directly to the q850?

If going 5.1.4 I’d like the front and the surround speakers to have built in atmos upfiring speakers. I like the look of the new Sony HT-A9

I didn't get a straight answer. Is the Milan better than the Monaco? The "big brother" is the one to buy?
Yes. The Monaco I think is better - Bigger speakers, tuned by THX, tougher build quality. 👍

Enclave CineHome Pro, if you can. But the CineHome II still outperforms the Monaco…but y’know…more money and stuff. 😄
