    We are Coast Salish. Our home is along the Salish Sea on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, and the neighboring islands. The Hul’q’umi’num’ dialect is spoken by the Snaw-naw-as, Snuneymuxw, Stz’uminus, Penelakut, Halalt, Quw’utsun’, and Malahat people and their relatives living among the neighbouring Coast Salish peoples.
