  • Film on the life of Donegal weavers, showing them at work in weaving sheds, helped by their wives and families and on the conditions they live in.
    Scenes of Donegal town and the neighbouring countryside; Brian Gallagher from Magee Tweed Company Weaving Department sends lorry driven by Eddie Thomas on way. leaves town and drives through the country, along roads and over bridges.
    Meets with Peter Maguire and his wife Nancy. Peter goes to work.
    Various shots of children walking to school along country road and filing into classroom in Scoil Min Teinead de Scoil Naisiunta; Children include Kay Maguire, Jane Gavigan, Hugh Breslin, Joseph Gallagher, Noel Watters, Liam Herron, Brid Breslin, Mary Byrne, Bernadette Diver, Laurence Herron, Peter Diver, Noel Breslin and Bernadette Ward.
    Geography lesson conducted in Irish by principal Edward O'Donnell.
    Nancy Maguire in her kitchen winding thread onto a bobbin; box full of completed bobbins.
    Children Thomas and Anne Maguire playing outside.
    Variety of shots inside Donegal tweed factory; beam with thread on it, thread being wound onto cones, which are then sent to the individual weavers; woven tweed being washed to remove oil; tweed in spin dryer; bales of cloth, zoom out to show bales of cloth on shelves.
    Fair of Ardara with people, cattle and sheep. Unidentified man explains history of Fair and images of unidentified men dealing.
    Variety of shots at party for Donegal weavers; small band including fiddle and accordian; people listening to music, zoom in to spoon player Francie Molly; shots of audience including Neilly Byrne and Noreen O'Donnell; Leo Brennan, accordion player, singing 'Homes of Donegal'.
